I think I read somewhere (here?) That they ran a survey and only 52% said they wanted a new stadium. So lucky for scruffy Jim he has a ready made excuse.

Redevelopment of the existing stadium was preferred by 31 per cent of fans, with a further 17 per cent declaring themselves unsure.
