I think Amorim will join them when they make him the highest paid manager in the prem, probably double his wages at Sporting. He's not turning that down is he no matter what shitshow he will find himself in

He's convinced, he's just not saying he is. Yes United are a shit show from the top down but he (like all those before him) will believe he can change that. Like it or not they are still a big club and hard to turn down. The only way I see him not going is if he has had confirmation he's coming to us next.
