I am completely and utterly flabbergasted that Manchester United confidently believe that bringing in a manager who has some (but not a great deal of) pedigree is going to turn their fortunes around almost instantly.

I don't think they're going to get a great deal of the "new manager bounce".

I sincerely think he could be gone before he even gets his feet under the table - two/three months? They will not tolerate failure, though in fairness to them they should be used to it by now.

My prediction: He will not be there at the start of next season.
They probably won’t be able to afford to get rid.

Even by their standards, the BBC have completely excelled themselves in today’s wankarhon!

Not sure that excelled is the correct word for their shameless wasting of public money to hype the shite monkeys up in such a sickening and sycophantic manner .

They should be brought before a Public Accounts Enquiry for blatant wasting money.

Nonce protecting organisation

The moment to truly savour will be the one where the newly annointed one of today is sacked having achieved the sum total of fuck all with more money being sucked out of the shithole.

Does anyone else think the following BBC statement is something of an oxymoron

Amorim is the sixth permanent manager United have appointed since Sir Alex Ferguson's 26-year reign ended with his retirement in 2013.

I for one, wouldn't begin to describe any of them as long term, never mind permanent.

and some would question the accuracy of using the word manager

awkward for his pal hugo viana, but if he went to united its because he wasnt part of our plans, that im 100% convinced of
Just because we’ve appointed a Portuguese DoF, it doesn’t mean we’re going to snap up every Portuguese, who pulls on a football shirt.

We’re not fucking Wolves!

With apologies to @Lupo and @Wanderingwolf.

Yeah there was no chance we were go from taking guys with Barcelona and Bayern on their CV and then just rock up and raid everybody from Sporting.

We shop down a different aisle than United.

So looking at how Amorin sets his teams up they could be a bit more solid....

He usually if not always plays 3 at the back with wingbacks

You would assume with his current squad the 3 at the back would be Delit martinez and Yorro once fit...wingbacks would be shaw (If ever fit) and mazouri and Dalot I would presume

He managed Ugarte (iirc?) so he will play along with Mainoo leaving a front 3 from Rashford, Garnacho and Hoiland (with the other young lad (Amad?) also able to play off the right as well

That 3 at the back with wingbacks would make them more solid plus the 2 defensive midfielders - but a high line with that back 3 would be dangerous - delit is slower than I thought and none of the others are quick either.....
Can't see him dropping Fernández
