They are so in the shit. The only tangible assets they can sell are their younger “ talented” players on lower wages. This hurts their depth and talent pool. Their “stars” are serial underperformers who are not only over the hill but are on huge wages. As a result no club will take them unless the Rags deeply subsidize their bloated wages.

There are also cancers at that club that are totally taking the piss and ill disciplined. Too many are not nearly as good as they think they are. Like spoiled children they never heard the word no.

I qualify for FOC rates and he's a decent barber apart from being a rag.
