I watched the game last night, It was a terrible game, Both sides were absolutely awful and a draw would have been a fair reflection of the game.

Having said that, It's absolutely disgraceful that Warwick Davis continues to jump in with two footed challenges and let away with it at every occasion, He's done it numerous times already this season and he hasn't been sent off.

I'm sure they'll wait until he actually snaps an opponents leg in half before they actually send him off, WHEN he does eventually break an opponents leg it will be all down to the officials for continuing to ignore his previous challenges.

I wouldn't wish an injury a serious injury on a player, But I'd make an exception to that prick and break his stumpy his legs.
A couple of mins in his company and he wouldn’t be walking never mind playing football the cowardly wee prick ..

I have never seen that once in 13 years, can you share an example?
Am not prepared to call him out but he's got thousands of posts with a good knowledge of previous experiences of following City over the years.
He's not a RAG just a over the top woke fella. CTID.

I read on the BBC that Rashford can’t join AC Milan, because Kyle is already there, and they can only sign one English player and his route to Brokelona is blocked by Eric Garcia's refusal to leave.

Former City players fucking Rashford and the rags is hilarious.
AC Milan had a choice to make. On the one hand was a loan deal for a 34 year old right back whose legs had gone in a position where they already had 4 players who could cover it. The other was Marcus Rashford. They chose the right back whose legs have gone.

Check out BBC news on the swamp project. Lays bare the scruffy one’s intentions when buying into the scum.
Omar Berrada quoted as saying that creating a "landmark project around Old Trafford" is a "once-in-a-lifetime opportunity" after the announcement of Government support for a project to regenerate the area around the stadium.”
So a footy Chief Exec clearly worried about urban regeneration and rail links?????

Burnam quoted as saying it’s about the areas regeneration, specifically freight train transport and homes.

The scum PR machine will continue to conflate the two issues to try to condition readers to see the benefit in directing public funding into the stadium.

Can’t see it happening myself. Gvmt funding to undertake the rail work, private investment to invest in housing and infrastructure. Scruffy Jim and the Glazers looking at their own cash to revamp/ rebuild the stadium.
Even with government support, it's going to take a long, long time to get this new stadium based on the plans they have in mind. Only 4 years ago a different solution for reducing freight traffic was mooted, by building a new line from Flixton down the west side of the region and along the south and removing the need to use the Castlefield corridor so this moving to a new location is a more recent idea. It could be something else next year.

As I see it, they won't be moving in until well into the next decade. Scruffy Jim is too old to wait for all this, they'd really be better renovating what they have (assuming you can polish a turd) and take the hit on the lower income as they demolish and rebuild each stand one by one. Unfortunately their 'pride' won't accept playing in a stadium with less capacity than ours, even short term, so they'll stick with this pie-in-the-sky idea for a while longer yet.

As many other Bluemooners will already be aware, I'm a born & bred Manc. Having lived up here in Cumbria for the past 35 yrs I'm also well up to speed with the points you have made about the NE as we get the same BBC regional news as you lot. You're absolutely right about the lack of government investment over there in Geordieland. It's a fecking disgrace TBH and all this talk about "northern powerhouse" is mostly flannel IMHO. Over here in Carlisle the city has had to fight tooth and nail for whatever funding it gets - mostly scraps in comparison though. In the meantime, a mega-rich businessman who is domiciled outside the UK in order to avoid paying tax is seriously suggesting that a new stadium for his partly owned business based in Stretford should be paid for by the Taxpayer. Its completely ridiculous. That lot should be left to stew in their own self-made mess and not get a penny of assistance from the public purse.
Yeah, and I mean I use those as examples about Newcastle, and it can be anywhere in the country.
People in Devon and Cornwall could do with something to help them, because outside the Londoners with 2nd homes, theirs not much money there. Are Plymouth Argyle going to get some funding to build a hotel that would in turn help them receive private Capitol to increase their stadium?

You live in Carlisle, is Cumbria going to get funding for the A69 to be dualled, or the Newcastle to Carlisle railway line to be electrified to get people across that way and better working as a continuous area? The A66 duelled has been cancelled.

This isn’t aimed at you, but a general view I have to add. I’m not by any means saying that Manchester doesn’t have its problems, it’s areas that need regenerating etc. What I’m saying is that money should be spent giving Man Utd and very very rich land owners in Manchester a cash injection that they don't need for a development that they could fund themselves and that would be essentially a copy and paste of what already exists a few miles up the road.

The investment from the government has been over-inflated, because providing new homes and jobs is a decent soundbite for Labour.

On the whole, the government will get a good deal out of this, because MUFC own a large portion of brownfield land, that is in a highly desirable area. Directly opposite Media City. Private developers will put the money in for the construction of these properties. And they will become homes, shops, restaurants and bars.

MUFC will have to fund the stadium. Or find someone to invest and sponsor the new stadium.

Why do they need the government to support it? Firstly, to get planning approval, as this can be very costly and could drag on for years. And then the infrastructure required to support a development of this stature. It will require road, rail and utilities. A new train station for the area has been muted. This is what the government will have to put in, but the return on this investment is worth it.

They know that this is good for the local economy, as they have already encountered this at the Etihad Stadium which was originally funded by Sport England and MCC, the Etihad campus which required compulsory purchase of the land and then remediation of the contaminated land, the road and rail infrastructure that was required to support this and latterly the Co-op arena is good for the City. They wouldn't get involved if there wasn't something in it for everybody else.

Jobs, Homes, Night-time & weekend economy. These types of opportunities should be grabbed with both hands because it benefits future generations. Our children who might go on to work at Media City or Study at the Etihad campus. Or whatever future development springs up. It is only possible when doors are opened and people have the vision to make it happen.

Him singular? Your original post said many. One person is hardly a general consensus!

Several people then replied against my criticism of Mr Woke
Right, growing legs this story. Odd because it's been mentioned a few times in here today but nobody has said it's "poverty shaming", the only thing that has been said numerous times is that it's ridiculous to claim that's what it is?
