Then did it again the next year with Zirkzee.
The few times I’ve seen him play reinforces my theory he is not a professional footballer.

No idea where they got him, but they must be pissing themselves. Assume Ten Hag managed him previously.

He’s not built like a footballer and doesn’t move like one. They’ve been proper swindled there.

The thing is, if they DO manage to somehow qualify for next year's CL, I actually think it would be worse for them. Can't sack the useless manager and would need to strengthen the squad substantially all while the ineffective but experienced and costly players stay on for another year.

The very best thing for them is as few games as possible next season, hope the older players want a payday somewhere else and rebuild.
They’re a total shitshow from top to bottom, there is no short/mid term answer to their predicament

The out of town raggie imposters will have more serious problems if they don't qualify for Europe next season.

Guesstimates are of lost income v this season of twixt £80/£100 MILLION.

With debts of £1 BILLION & rising, including outstanding transfer fees to other clubs of £440 MILLION + ( half of which is due on 1st July 26),
interest costs and losses/compensation on player outgoings, matters are looking deliciously black.

This scenario may/will affect their credit rating/risk profile, making it even harder to trade.

A perfect shit storm and vicious death spiral......and its liiive !!

Manchester thanks you Sheikh Mansour.

DELICIOUS !!
So, basically united are the Woolworths of the football world.

Umm, maybe, but can’t help but feel that the best thing all round is for these jokers to now get knocked out of the Thursday Night Cup at the very first opportunity
and then all they've got to look forward to is a long sad death until the end of the season.

Shhh!

Stop giving them ideas!

Worryingly a % of the fanbase do appear to have learnt from history. Lot easier now with the web to have access to the facts that confirm running a club into the ground. I imagine that a regulator would have a top flight club shedding it's workforce on a watch list based on risk assessment of financial difficulties and would be looking for owner cash injections or agreed recovery plan to prevent a Leeds / Portsmouth happening if revenue drops as expected next season.

One for the more mature poster but my old man was telling me a lot of this Glazers / Scruffy Jim situation at the swamp looks a lot like Ken Bates take over of Chelsea in the 80's, that's before my time to comment on but if midtable mediocrity for 20 years follows I'll take that.

That's all the media in this country has been for many years, just a mouthpiece for the rags. It started out with Sly Sports but over the years BT/ITV/BBC and many others have become nothing more than glorified cheerleaders for the verminous scum.

The BBC in particular have nailed their colours to the mast - and the bastards want us to pay for a licence to enable them to continue supporting the rags.
They have to be aware that their obvious bias is becoming more and more difficult to hide, the have your say bit on their footballing website is full of people basically saying: "Is this a footballing forum, you know, for people to post their opinions on the sport itself, or a rag-supporters forum where every single post MUST deal with what is happening at the swamp?"

SCUM!
Cancel the license.

It's legal & takes 4 minutes !!

I agree just so long as we don’t have to play them in the Full Members Cup final though, the day after we’d played errr nytid!
