Sounds like shit stirring to me, who in the right mind would allow a major competitor , allowing them a leg up and pull them out of the shit? This isn't the second world war anymore where the club felt obliged to help the "neighbour" out.
City for me go and fuck themselves if it happens, will be the last time ill ever go to a game.

They can get fucked, those dirty red twats using our facilities!
Can’t they use Wembley near to where the majority of their fans come from?

I know rags are gullable morons only interested in glory hunting but you'd think even they can see the wool being pulled over their eyes.

On Sunday the complicit media were showing the world how they're supposedly hard done to & then on Monday Scruffy Jim comes out with plans for a new stadium & with one fell swoop the protest has disappeared & the glory hunters are lapping it up as though they've just won the premier league.

I bet Peter Swales is spinning in his grave with the knowledge that he could have made the forward with Franny disappear by producing plans for a new stadium

Developers will be falling over themselves to get on this. Sponsors will want in as well. Naming rights must be worth half a billion. And Ineos have a combined wealth of 68bn. I'm sure they could stump up the shortfall, for more shares in the club.

If you think about it. Scruffy Jim is already in his 70's. When this stadium is proposed to be finished, he will be 77. So it wouldn't surprise me if he went all in and it became the INEOS arena. They can't bury him with all that money, but this sort of legacy could massage his ego in perpetuity.
If Ratcliffe was funding it he'd have done so by now. Ineos hasn't funded anything regarding the rags and won't be funding it because the group is heavily in indebted and has relatively restricted banking covenants.

I don't believe there's a single instance in sporting history of a sponsor funding the build of a stadium and naming rights are likely to be limited to £30-40m p.a., so that won't move the needle.

Not sure what 'developers falling over themselves to get on this' means.

the minute they identify the exact location we need two vans of travellers to park on the site and refuse to leave because its now "their home". Then they suggest they will do so for £200 per family and watch Scruffy Jim haggle over £400 in a supposed £2bn development - that will reveal the depth of his commitment

I'd hope we'd fleece them if we did. They certainly wouldn't do us any favours. Actually scrap that fuck em.
Maybe Ratboy will let them play at his ground or better still Carrington.
I hope it doesn't happen but expect that it will and will probably pay for the north stand expansion,. Hopefully it will mean them improving the road , rail & tram links to the ground & reinstating Phillip's Park railway station

baffles me how they have put a cost on it that's all , looks like theyve got the person on it who bought Zirkzee, Spotty Muldoon and Antony's purchases
Probably copy and paste job from the Morocco stadium website.....

The price to build will keep going up you know what builders are like 2 billion today will end up 5 billion by the time it’s finished that’s if it ever gets started.

I agree mate and it probably is nonsense but it's the kind of commercial arrangement that I can see Khaldoon rubbing his hands together for.
Our owners aren't as petty as us fans. They're businessmen and they'll do what's right for the business. They'll ask fans, but all they'll get is someone holding up a picture of a banner saying '34 years' and saying 'Rag cunts and Gary Neville is a wanker'.......... the owners will just look at each other and say - get the deal signed

Plus they still haven't spent the money saved from sacking the tea lady and putting the staff on bread and soup rations.

The Mirror seem to be suggesting the rags want to use the Etihad while Salford is a building site.

My initial reaction is of course get to fuck, but I wouldn’t put it past the soulless accountants at City to be receptive to the idea.
Charged them a billion a season that goes straight into our transfer kitty. Otherwise they can fuck off and share with Bolton.

You dared to slag Labour off on here.
I assumed it was more that he'd got himself into a frothing rage and was blaming everyone under the sun for something that is just a pr exercise for the Stretford scruff bags.
It's a real problem these days, invent a problem then use media, both social and traditional, to get people angry then give them a nebulous target for that anger.
Bread and circuses bullshit.
