The problem for them is that this is the reset. They've been reset to what they were before the Govan piss can. This is them.

One big difference being the huge amount of debt they are carrying, when they go this time they ain't coming back any day soon.

It'll expose the entire industry when these fuckers get found out.

EBITDA is a useless metric for a football club as the biggest cost is the A - amortisation of players value.

If they only have 160m to pay interest and player amortisation that doesn't go very far. As an example a 50m player on a 5 year contract costs 10m a year in A. Plus wages on top.

I've not looked at the rags accounts for a wile and it's always difficult to project forward. But just on the above alone I'd say they are screwed.
Also not forgetting that amortisation only really works if you have kept up the payments on the purchase, which they haven't!!!!
They owe over £300 million in unpaid transfer fees, everything that the initial FFP was set up to prevent these cheating bastards have broken.

That's the secret though. Get their predictions wrong and be overly confident. That's what gets the clicks. I've no doubt there is a 'manual' on how to increase your engagement. They all talk to each other and share how to get on and how to make money from it.
id rather be skint than talk to any of those fucking eejits for any length of time.

Manchesniyeh might not get relegated next season, but they're definitely not going to get European Football.

Manchester City, LiVARpewl, Arse, Chelsea, Newcastle, Aston Villa, Nottingham Forest, Brighton....and the Scum think they can finish higher than any of them? Best they'll finish is 9th.
they have to win an extra 10 games to make up the points difference that gets them there, an extra 10 games is a huge amount, this is why i didnt and still dont see the big deal about champions league football for spuds or the rags, i said yesterday that top quality players are not going to sign 5 year deals for a potential 8 games in the cl as neither of these lot league positions suggest they are making it in that way next year.

The Season ends on Sunday.
Once the Play off final is determined, the MSM will work at speed to erase this season’s League table.
They will then show the 2025/26 in Alphabetical order.
Rags will climb to 14th !!!!
And if,a big if,let’s say they were to win their first couple of games next season the giddiness will be off the scale yet again from the media ..

In 2024, player amortisation was £190m which contributed to a net loss of £113m.

A summer of "class of 92", Cantona United's Treble, the Premier years 1992 to 2011, Slur Alex documentaries......etc etc....awaits on Sly.

Man United third top loser on New York Stock Exchange today. Down 8.6% at $13.29. INEOS paid $33 a share for its stake. Shares almost halved in value since they were $26.23 in 2023 when Qataris tried to buy United. INEOS deal valued club at £4bn. Market cap now £1.7bn

Manchester United co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe has seen his wealth fall by £6.473bn - more than a quarter of his fortune

Ouch.

£100m, the media exposure, extra match day revenue, sponsorships, more crowing.

Trust me, them not getting CL football next season was crucial to their finances. Now they are royally fucked.

Just a thought about PL broadcasting income for them next year.
With so many PL teams in Europe next season, and the effect that has on when you play at the weekend… are they very likely to have many more 3pm Saturday kickoffs , so miss out on UK PL live match broadcast income?
Over the past 35 years they’ve had the lions share of televised matches, in comparison to any other club, resulting in ‘little’ clubs constantly getting 3pm Saturday kickoffs and the reduction in broadcast income that makes… so not being Europe … less UK tv money!

And this is why they are stuck in this death spiral, they believe they lay claim on English football and it’s their devine right to be top dog. The club has tried to reset numerous times with different directions in managerial appointments and they never had the patience to see it through. Why did they give Ten Haag a contract extension and then sack him a few months after? Then appoint someone who is even worse?

They try to take short cuts to bring back the glory days. Throw money at it, they copy what City do and appoint their personnel in key positions. Trouble is now the money well is running dry. Will be interesting to see their next quarterly trading reports and how they spin this car crash.
This is why its all due to City playing the long game ...

Lose the FA Cup Final, means they had to extend Ten Haag's contract, letting him spend a fortune on garbage. They then sack him despite having a 56.25% win rate, appointing a Manager who's footballing style is virtually the exact opposite.

Amorin comes in, takes them from 8th to 16th with just 6 Prem wins, losing a European Final to Spurs (SPURSY) resulting in a financial disaster of losing a potential £100-200m in the process by not qualifying for next season's Champions League.

More from the Caff:-

"By Autumn 2025, If INEOS do not come with an offer to buy the rest of the share, the Glazers retain the right to sell shares to whoever they like without INEOS approval. The club could be devided between multiple owners by 2030, having multiple owners could take this club to new lows."

Nice

Serious question, are the Glazers selling debt?

Let's say that if someone wanted to buy the rags lock stock and barrel would they begin operations with a mountain of debt?

I'm liking this logic .

It's a great thought but you know and I both know that their media friends will do their utmost to bail them out.
