I’m convinced I saw a game around 2003 v Boro where they never had 1 shot & we lost from a 40 yard sliced OG but also never found it on YouTube.

Me too, I tried to find it in Google but I only found the game against Boro in 2003 where Jihai Sun tried to clear the ball from a pass into the box and put it in City's net. I found the Bolton game too where in 2005 once again City should have won but fate had other plans. There is an interview with David James recently on City's website talking about that. I couldn't remember whether it was Bolton or Boro. I remember though what you mentioned. I was sure it was an outrageous piece of bad luck, I thought it was Jihai sun in the middle of his own half, a shot headed towards the corner flag and the ball deflected into City's net. That's very strange that we both remember it but can't find it.
