I was watching the rags/Villa game on silent but had City commentary from the website so it was a bit surreal to hear the song being sung loud and clear.

Hear me out....whilst i'm not gonna start saying he'll transform them or anything, i'm thinking solely about the media wankfest; 'England's darling manager' taking over TWGC bullshit, nauseating narrative.
Because you know that's what they'll be going with.

Funny as it might be seeing them play the same dull, insipid football for the long term, I really don't think my sanity could cope with the media fawning of Southgate and the media fawning of the Scum combined together in one package.

Fawning over the rags while they slide down the league table sounds good to me especially if they had Sir Waistcoat in charge

When you think when he was in charge of the national team and he had his pick of the best the country can offer, and yet he still managed to fuck that right up, just imagine the damage he could with the utter league 2 dross he'd have at the swamp.
The Glazers and Worzel will tell him what he wants to hear: money to spend, best players on the planet, pgmol on our side, etc. Then once he's signed it'll be a harsh bump back to reality as he realises he's going to be stuck with Ten-Hag's array of pub cloggers.

The guy took over boro when they had just been in the UEFA cup final, had qualified for Europe twice in two years before he got the job and they were a handy team, much better than the current rags.

Anyway, he got the job, got them relegated after 12 years in the PL and they've never really recovered.

Who cares about media fawning? If he can repeat his sinking of Boro, then give him the united job.

And Sancho, perhaps? Can you see Chelsea keeping him? 31 appearances and 3 goals. Rashford 10 apps and 3 goals for Villa - 2 of those were against Preston. Rumour was that the Scum wanted £40m for Rashford.
For context, Gvardiol scored 9 and Kovacic scored 7 this season.

2. United lose, Villa get CL, Rashford sold to Villa, Amorim can be afforded to be sacked.

Southgate as England manager took over a pretty toxic environment where the big name players were calling the shots. He did a fairly decent job of changing that around, although the age of some of those players helped.

But I think that job suited him. As a club manager you have to work with what you've got and if you earn the luxury of time you can start to shape the squad. He can't just drop the big time Charlie's like he did with England.

He had a huge pool of talent in this country and still fucked up. Not sure he’ll be able to get anything out of the mess of that squad. The only “quality” is the rat, the liar and a few youngsters.
