Yeah, there will be some in the media thread complaining it isn't happening though. Talksport is slaughtering them as you say.

Yeah bizarre with Sesko, being 10th penalty taker is not a good look for your expensive new striker. Micky Gray hammering him saying he isn't good enough I thought was a tad harsh after one start. Enjoyable all the same.
Its a mentality thing isnt it, didnt like it when haaland didnt take the penalty in the cup final but this is worse to only be prepared to take the 10th penalty in a shootout and as a 70 plus million striker speaks alot about his mentality.

Rangnick identified the problems and he was only in charge of them for 5 minutes. Now my managerial experience is limited to LMA Manager 2003 on the PS2 but fair to say he's not classed as a world class manager either but he knew the score. Told them what they had to do, they've failed to do it and this is the result. Muppets, long may it continue.

Glorious time to be a blue!
He was the only one who seemed to have some sort of plan and could see through the red mist.

Brought him in to assess and tell them what was needed to turn the club round.... didn't like his plan....bye bye ragnick.

As Tommy Cooper would say.....and just like that, they ignored the possible Get Out Of Jail card.

It is and as I say it isn't a great look for the lad. To say he isn't good enough after one start I don't buy yet, although I hope it is the case.

Haaland was worse for me. Star striker, penalty taker, not long signed a bumper new deal bricking it from a high pressure penalty in a cup final? Unforgivable for me. Both aren't good examples for your strikers

Every decision that club makes pulls them deeper into the soft stuff.
It's extraordinary to watch.
I wished misery on them, I just didn't think it would actually be this spectacular.
The only bucket list item I have left regarding that club, is for City to win the league as they are relegated..... could it happen? :)
It's almost as if no matter what the rags do, it's the wrong thing. You'd have to have a heart made of stone not to laugh.

Their decline is slow and steady, but they haven't reached their lowest point, their nadir, just yet - but it is rapidly approaching. As sure as Tuesday follows Monday, as sure as night follows day, as sure as DFS having a sale next Bank Holiday, the rags' path to oblivion continues to gather pace.
Grimsby had a third goal disallowed for no discernible reason (that I could see, anyway), but in the penalty shoot-out whenever a rag scored they were celebrating like they had achieved some kind of spectacular sporting feat: fists clenched in triumph, a joyous celebration of man over adversity, a cataclysmic event to rival such moments as Roger Bannister's 4-minute mile, the 'one small step for man' moment, or the fall of the Berlin Wall, or even when it was revealed to us who shot JR Ewing. These rag players were acting as if they had won the C.L. and they were down to 9 men practically the whole game.
I watched it unfold and I could not believe what I was seeing. A team that cost millions and millions to assemble celebrating scoring a penalty against Grimsby Town.

They are in crisis, despite our media claiming the opposite. A spent force whose desperate attempts to stay afloat (let alone compete) in the 21st Century are looking as futile as telling a BlueMoon mod it's his round.

Mercenaries?! Surely not ;)
Interesting isn't it?

I can't think of one player that joined MCFC after the takeover in 2008 that wasn't labeled as a mercenary.

It's been blatantly obvious to me who the real mercenaries of the game are, certainly over the past twelve years anyway.

You would think those bloodhounds in the media would have caught the scent by now?

I went to the first game when Colin Williams had a decent winner disallowed should have won 1-0 kicked off for fun great days

Was there at the BA too. Last minute goal wasn't it? Maybe not. Was a long time ago.

Were you the dickhead who elbowed me in the face?

Now, they're my kind of stats.

That club is a fucking shim sham.

The media in this country is a disgrace and they have no shame whatsoever. If that was any other "big" club in the league they'd be openly mocking them (with the obvious exceptions).

Despite the fact that the rags have been irrelevant for years, watching the media propping them up is criminal. It's beyond embarrassing, and I'm sure on some level they know it, the rags know it and anyone with a modicum of common sense knows it too.

Just let the fuckers sink. That's my advice. It'll make for better reading too.

Have you noticed that every Slimey Stone article has to have at least three references to how 'big' they are?

It's like "yeah they're shit but they're a big shit."

I'll just leave this here....
Everything they do eventually comes around to bite them on their arse.

This illustrates perfectly why you should keep your own council when things are going well for you.

Unfortunately, for these arrogant freaks they can't help themselves, and they end up becoming the butt of their own sarcasm.

We’re definitely bringing it down from the inside, I’m convinced of it.

American owner helping another American owner by buying a player that team manager don’t want don’t want him anywhere near the club! 40m for Garnatuo when Chelsea are stacked with similar players

There was a graphic earlier in the thread (approx):
United squad value $1.217 billion
Grimsby squad value $4.876 MILLION

Grimsby squad is worth about 0.6% of United’s.

Odd, how this statistic hasn’t been trotted out every 5mins.

We may clash on the politics forum.

We may piss each other off.

I may be a bit controversial at times.

Our opinions, beliefs and views may be polar opposites...

But what unites us all, is our hatred of the rag twats and our ability to laugh together at the absolute comedy of what's going on there...

To quote one of the ex cunts: I love this game.
