I see scruffy is planning some mid season friendlies in Saudi to bring in some revenue.
The rags over on the caf apart from a few using desperate mental gymnastics to justify it all saying it’s not the same as being owned by the Middle East.
The hypocrisy is off the scale, so it’s ok to take Saudi money in friendlies but not take money from ownership.
One or two can see it but in the whole they’re all for it.
Desperate times indeed for the rags.
Does anyone in the middle east even support them these days ?

ssn implying Glasner lined up for rags without saying it
Amorim must be toast
He'd be a very foolish man to take the job: regardless of how much money they will throw at him. The rags are a poisoned chalice and everybody knows it, he might make himself wealthy by going there but he'll be damaged goods as far as his reputation in the sport goes.

end of day he's a football manager take his chances or pay off to make him rich ultimate aim in life

people over the age of 30 still support them. But that's on a downwards spiral.
there are now kids coming up to their teenage years that have never seen them win the league. There will be also be young people coming up the the legal age to be able to drink alcohol who will have never seen them win the champions league by the time this season is out.

But according to their thick fans, they're "the biggest club in the world"
I never tire of asking them what this is measured on and telling them the only world they can be classed as the biggest in is Ragworld.

I thought no midweek football meant that Amorim had more time to work with the squad. They must have given up on that idea and decided to chase the cash instead

Only metrics they can use at the moment are how much they owe their creditors, how big the hole in the roof is. Or the size of their left back.

Shirley it's just a coincidence that when a certain club continues to lose money, the Premier League are looking to replace PSR?

My grandson will be 16 in November, and he can’t remember the rags winning the League.

The one thing I learn when coming on the rag thread is players and managers ive never heard of before, but are all world class.
Who is Glasner ?
Oliver Glasner. Head coach of Crystal Palace.

You might have seen him in the FA Cup final in May.
