These accounts will be published and the idiots will eat it up and bleat on as always but the maths quite simply dont add up, no cl football, no new tv deal, they would have got a bit for the el run but not a significant amount yet they have record revenue, wheres the extra money coming in from?

I still don't understand why they got rid of De Gea AKA the Alpaca?

Wasn't he their player of the season for three years running?

He saved them a shit load of points (if you'll pardon the pun).

Not that I give a flying fuck, mind you.

I'm enjoying the pantomime. Long may it last.
The only reason they got rid was because he was shite as well in his last couple of seasons.

Be interesting to see what happens in their next accounts with no European football and league cup games happening to bump the matchday revenue. There is also the reduction in their kit deal with no European football.

They can’t sack anymore staff can they to get the next accounts into the black?

So... £665.5m annual revenue, which is about 767m euros (currently)

Deloitte https://www.deloitte.com/uk/en/serv.../analysis/deloitte-football-money-league.html
has them down as achieving 770m euros annual revenue the previous year.

So, given currency fluctuations (+ or -), they have literally stood still since the previous year, when everyone else who remained in PL or similar European competitions, I'm guessing will have generated an increase in revenue - TV, commercial, matchday, back of sofa's.

'Record revenue' seems to me as very much polishing a stagnant turd.

Next year's Revenue - with the lack of new sponsors (no replacement for Tezos AFAIK), Melitta going after so long, reduction on current sponsors due to no CL (Adidas etc), no European football (TV, commercial & matchday reductions), no LC (mainly matchday reduction), likely reduced historical PL payouts (again)... is where the turd gets flushed with a free-falling revenue.

They had 11 home cup matches last year and that's before the TV and prize money

This year, the most they can have is 4 and that's assuming that they're good enough and lucky enough to progress to Wembley in the FA Cup with every game at Old Trafford

They'll also have to account for their extra spending from funds that nobody seemed to know about

Honestly the media spin for these bastards is amazing ...............they are shit but hey the made record revenues :)
No Europe bummed out of the league cup early bet them revenue will somehow rise again next season ...............still thats the bonus of having a glory hunting fanbase

I'm surprised they didn't televise the Brackley v Rag Kids last night.

What are the odds of them getting relegated?

£33m debt this year, £113m debt the year before £28.7m the year before. So that's £174m over the 3 year qualifying period. No covid period to help them out this time. They have to find £70m of relief from somewhere which would be an another extraordinary amount to wave away by the PL.

It's all detailed in the accounts, or the business desk article.

They increased sponsorship by £30m due to 2 new deals. Matchday went up because they played 5 extra home games.

They seem to have some very big exceptional costs which make the headline numbers look better, but really by now we (City fans) should be well versed from the 115 case how unlikely it is that they're faking the books because of the huge number of people being involved across multiple public companies and the liability it would involve. Reading half a dozen comments on here about second accounts or fake accounts is like reading clueless kids rant about City on twitter.

But we know the PL will.

Record revenues isn't a particularly interesting statement, everybody in this league at least, are regularly posting record revenues. The TV money is so vast that it dwarves anything else now.

The net loss is the clear signficiant figure here and that's after all of the cost cutting they've done. They've cut everything possible and whilst they have reduced losses substantially, they have still have made a net loss, that should be a big concern.

They arent getting CL anytime soon to raise their necks above water, they don't have many saleable assets anymore. They'll have a big payout to make soon enough when they sack amorim and replace him. They have plans for a new stadium to fund as they can fuck off asking for handouts on that. Any suggestion this is a positive set of figures for them comes from somebody who hasn't a clue what they are looking at.

It's a bleak immediate future ahead for them and its going to be glorious.
