I can relate.

You would think that the contempt we have for them would diminish the less relevant they become within the game.

However, for some bizarre reason their demise hasn't taken the edge off one bit. I sometimes wonder if I actually despise them more now that they're our underdogs.

The media doesn't help either with their constant gaslighting, but ultimately, I feel it's in my DNA to hate the fuckers and I don't think that will ever change.

Yeah that’s a good point,the media’s desperation to keep them relevant although I’d say that’s partly down in part to the rags paying those organisations as well..

Yes, it's very annoying watching the media pimping them out across their various platforms.

I'm sick to death of hearing these lame excuses from the media who keep the rags front and centre by claiming they're the biggest club in the country........ so what!

Debenham's were the biggest store on the high street but that didn't stop them from going under and better stores superseding them.

There might be a lot of people across the globe who have heard of Manchesniteh but the majority of them probably think about the rags as often as they think about their own mortality.

The most overused phrase you'll hear from the media in this country is "Manchesniteh still have a lot of pull" which as we all know, is code for "they're becoming irrelevant and the numbers are dwindling"

When the media have to spell it out like this, you just know they're clawing at the last dregs of water from the drying well.

surely thats a circular motion tho, the greater the amount of articles the more reads and clicks therefore artificially inflating the figures and also how do you categorize those articles if the rags get humped 5 or 6 this weekend there will be a multitude of articles written about them viewed by everyone so they can laugh at them, i suppose if they are popular or relevant as a figure of fun then okay.

It goes back to the whole 600m fans crap and how that was categorized the want to write articles about them for reads and interactions is artificially inflated by the same type of categorization.
