Their position in 1992 was orchestrated. They made a number of big signings between around 89-92 in preparation for becoming the Premier League media darling.

A little known fact - Pep had an alleged ‘trial’ when Stuart (still send shivers) Pearce was our manager.

Surely that’s exactly when he decided to become City’s manager after speaking with him.

He didn’t dare to park in the gaffers parking spot either.
