Re: Rags vs. City Pre Match Thread

My glass is well and truly half empty right now. Don't want to even think about a scoreline, all I can see is the pedestrian slow build up and the possession for possessions sake football that we seem to have delivered for the majority of this season. I just wish the team had as much fight in it as we as supporters have. I shout "Come on City" with desire, but am I expecting them to replicate this on the pitch? Prove me wrong blues and smash these c*nts back down to 4th

PLEASE!

Re: Rags vs. City Pre Match Thread

fullbacks to change, fernandinho to get his standard drop to the bench after having a decent game, Fernando to come in for him. Nasri to start instead of Navas because he hasn't started in a few games and 2 upfront. That's what i'm expecting from pellegrini based on that being what he's done the entire season. Anybody with an ounce of sense though can tell you we need to play 4-5-1 to stand a chance. some tempo wouldn't go amiss either.

Re: Rags vs. City Pre Match Thread

Carrick is important for them. Milner's job should be to harass him and cut off the supply and then when we have the ball drift wide right

When out of posession
------------Aguero

Nasri-----Milner-----Silva

---------Yaya-----Dinho

When in possession

------------Aguero

Nasri------Silva-----Milner

---------Yaya-----Dinho

Stopping or disrupting Carrick is half the job in terms of winning possession. Once we have the ball we can hurt them like Arsenal did. Both us and Arsenal have similar attacking players who can pass through their backline with little one-twos. Utd may be on form and confident but our attackers are much more intelligent and better on the ball than both Spurs' and Liverpool's. We also have Aguero up top.

Re: Rags vs. City Pre Match Thread

We should go out for the kill here. We've beat them with two upfront plenty of times in recent seasons, but yaya in a midfield two really does struggle. He always performs well agaisnt United so I do think he should start.

Dinho milner

Silva yaya nasri

Sergio

Let's tear these apart. We've been shite this season, but we know what we're capable when were on our game. Our team I over the past few years has been built on yaya, silva and Nasri keeping possession and United don't like teams who can pass it about. Hope zaba plays right back too, get those forward runs going which have missing all season.

Forget that, I assume it'll be Rooney/

It'll be Clattenburg playing second fiddle <a class="postlink" href="http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/clattenburg-to-referee-manchester-derby-8997870" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/ ... by-8997870</a>
