United vs. City Pre Match Thread

If Nasri wasn't such a smacked arse the line up should be...

Hart
Zabba- Kompany - Demi - Cliche
Milner - Fernandhino
Silva - Yaya - Nasri
Aguero

This allows good defensive cover from the midfield but also allows Yaya to sit on Carrick who still pulls their strings. Yaya's days as a box to box midfielder are also well and truly over but his intelligent passing, close control and attacking threat make him perfect for our number 10 role. In fact I'd go as far to say that is the ONLY role Yaya can play when we are playing against the better opposition.

Sadly, Nasri is a smacked arse who in my opinion should never have the privilege of pulling on a City shirt again in his career. So that leaves our only alternative as :-

Hart
Zabba - Kompany - Demi - Cliche
Fernando - Fernandhino
Sliva - Yaya - Milner
Aguero

Play the above and we will win. Play 4-4-2 and we will lose.

I don't think United have the players in the middle of the park to cause us many problems, so playing Yaya and Fernandinho shouldn't be an issue

Hart, Zabba, Vinny, Demichelis. Clichy, Yaya, Fernandinho, Navas, Silva, Nasri, Sergio

No idea what score it will be, we should win but I think it will be a low scoring cagey affair

Why do managers insist on revealing who is injured before a game. Surely it gives the opposition a boost knowing that two or three players who could have played might not and it must alter their way of thinking. It also makes it more likely that they can guess the team etc. Why couldn't Pellers say everyone is currently fit. FFS how many times did Slurgie go the other way, say everyone is injured when we knew they weren't but rarely revealed genuine injuries.

4-3-3 with Fernando, Fernadinho and Yaya in midfield with a front 3 of Milner, Aguero and Silva would be my choice now.

It would be foolish to play any other system, those would be my players too - from our options, its our most balanced, most effective, line up imo.
I think we're more likely to see a 4-2-3-1

Yaya Fernandinho
Navas Silva Nasri
Aguero

Apart from Milner in for Nasri, I'd go for that,

Not qute sure where to start with that.

Now that´s funny

Think that shows why Pearce is not our manager anymore, this is the guy who puts a goal keeper up front.
