Unpleasant experience in Colin Bell Level 3 today

I was sat next to a girl who was with her son, their first game. My so (24) and seven f his mates on the other side of me. During the 1st half their language was nothing to be proud of. I apologised to the girl, her reply was " don't worry its football". She became a lady, I had a quite word with my son and his mates and they acted like gentlemen. GHood result all round. I,m sorry your match experience wasn't all you wished it to be, don't please let it put you off.

Thanks to those supporting me on here - it is really appreciated and a big thank you especially to one guy behind me who had a go at him - it takes balls especially when you are not directly involved.

Kids are the future support and I am sure Khaldoon would not have been impressed.

I dont want to reveal block row or seat number on here as he cant defend himself - be interesting to see what the club responds to me.

Yes I think Billy Big Spuds too - going on about how I never sit there implicating I am a plastic - he knows nowt about me.

-- Sat Jan 25, 2014 9:37 pm --

Cheers and that was a great response by you and your mates which I would expect from most people.

There's always going to be a bit of swearing. I take my lads and instinctively swear at times. This though, sounds like someone thinking that he has more rights to be at the game than you and your lad and I'm sure he'll be in his bedsit tonight with his masking tape sex doll, thinking about what a hero he was today.

Tell your lad that even City have the odd plum but ignore what happened, he is the future of our support.

Thanks - have told him that and he is aware of swearing etc just not with the nastiness and oblivious type he encountered today.

I'm a fucker for swearing at the football myself. I tell my lads not to think it's clever and I try to tame it but my very nature sees me swear when I get worked up and football works me up.

I took my youngest lad (when he was 5 I think) against Villareal and was in the South Stand. 99% of City fans apologise instinctively if they swear in front of kids but it would seem you've encountered the odd clown.

Wait until the teams are due out when we play the next derby. Remind your lad about the bloke today and tell him -
"Remember that bloke at the Watford game who upset you? He was a proper twat. This team in red who we're about to play are a real shower of cunts."

Also ignore Barney and johnmc. I don't know much about Barney but the lift clearly doesn't go all the way to the top floor. johnmc is a troll though who'll try to get a reaction before reporting straight back to redcafe.

The incident where Agüero was hacked down that went unpunished had me bawl out "fucking nobhead" and I immediately regretted my outburst as I had my six year old with me and there was a boy of similar age to mine in front of me. I think i got away with it as there was a loud disapproval..

Thats acceptable Strangeways and perfectly understandable and normal

Next time grab a steward or ask for a police officer if it gets really bad - had similiar experience myself when my two sons were much younger - got a torrent of abuse & told I wasn't a proper fan when I pulled him up - unfortunately this element of morons exists at all clubs .....

This has also happened to me. I am a season ticket holder in level 3 of the Colin Bell Stand. I too had to tell a fellow 'city' fan off for swearing as I too had my son with me. I can swear with the best of them but the c*** & t*** word is a bit much. I told him - he apologised - but then carried on then told me to f*** off to the family stand. I informed the nearest steward at half time who had a word with him. After we had scored the winning goal - against Man Ure - he apologised again & wanted to shake my hand. He blamed his language on too much alcohol. Since the incident he now says hello to me.

Don't let it put you off bringing your son . By the way I'm a 47 year old mum of two!!

I swear at games but if a child is sat near by I tone it down, get that clown reported, clearly thinks he's the height of cool for acting big and clever in front of your son.
