Unsourced Transfer Gossip [Merged]

Re: Might be a daft question...

I think part of the problem and this is not an attack on Hughes simply a fact, that he said we would be looking to conclude our business early and have everyone in place for pre-season. Then relatively quickly we picked up Barry and RSC and everything seemed to be going to that plan, now things seem to be moving much slower. All that being said you're right we should just enjoy the ride, because it's clear that with any luck, we should end up with some really good players that can make an impact on what already is a pretty good team.

Because it would be better to have the players in for a full pre season together to help them gel before the season kicks off. Having a full month to train and work together and bond.

Re: Might be a daft question...

I reckon if it was me I would delay as long as possible in order to get an extra couple of weeks off :)

No attack or blame can really be put at Hughes door, it has been stated that he informs GC's team about his transfer targets and then they close the deals.

Re: Might be a daft question...

Jesus Christ lads. The signings of Terry (Mr Chelsea), Eto'o (Mr Ego) and Tevez (Wrapped up in legal red tape) are never going to be easy. If you just want numbers for pre-season we could nip in and get a load of playes on the transfer list of their respective clubs. Of course it's best to have them on board as early as poss but it's not a fooking disaster having to wait!

Another thing, what would you be saying in a few months time when, after signing Tevez but cutting corners and putting pressure on the FA, it turns out something was missed by the legal people and we're staring at a points deduction? Chill yer boots everyone. I've waited all my life for this, I'm not going to let a few weeks to sign certain players depress me.

here's some great players who won't be that difficult to sign.
Gourcuff 'signed for Bordeaux'
Hulk 'Big and shite'
Petroica 'might not be a bad shout'
Witsel 'austrian'
Moutinho 'tiny'
Lusaio 'lanky'
Bruno alves 'tempermental + shite'
Trachowski 'good shout'
Elia 'signed a new deal'
Toulalan 'would love him at City but we've got more defensive mids than we know what to do with'
Wagner love 'no no no'
Fabiano 'Milan'

Hopefully Hughes is just waiting for the current rumoured players to either sign or not before going to his b list. Which I hope looks something like this.

Re: Is it worth a punt on Jermaine Beckford?

No no no no no we have moved on from these type of signings
Dirty shit anyway remember him taking the goalie out last season and denying it

Re: Is it worth a punt on Jermaine Beckford?

Shit attitude which came to the forefront in that game against milwall last year when he elbowed the goalkeeper and when asked about it in a post match interview he just laughed and denied it. Also, he is nowhere near good enough if we want to match our top four ambitions, might be good for a team in the lower half of the premier league but I don't believe that he has the required quality to take city forward.

Re: Is it worth a punt on Jermaine Beckford?

If we were to get anyone from Leeds I'd go for Delph, think he has great potential

Haven't seen much of Delph but a few of my mates really rate him and people at Leeds certainly hold him in high regard, has been on the news this morning that Leeds have rejected bids from two un named premiership clubs. No idea who these are but I know Everton have been very strongly linked with him as have Fulham.

He may well be worth a purchase though and as someone suggested before send him back out on loan somewere to gain more match experience.
