A big one at school was that Nigel Benn was walking through a side street in London in a suit and someone tried to mug him. In reality, Chris Eubank foiled a robbery and held the thief until the police arrived. He was so strong that the man couldn’t escape.

I thought it was the met police issued a photo fit of a wanted criminal and mistakenly used Nigel Benns picture .. then somebody recognising him attempted a citizens arrest

I read Eubank’s book (childhood hero) and he originally didn’t get involved. However, the thief knocked over an old lady so he went for him.
