Before this thread descends into a poster on poster slagging match, can we return to the focus of the current news?

Khamenei has been suggested to have been killed in number of strikes by US and Israel.
Iran has retaliated against Israel, Kuwait, UAE, Qatar and Bahrain.

That's where we are right now.

Nobody should mourn his death but it’s key that news come out that strikes have taken enough of the leadership out to ensure a collapse of the power they hold over Iran.

If not then someone else will emerge and the wheel will just carry on turning sadly.

History isn’t inside when it comes to effective and long lasting regime change unfortunately.

The strikes do appear to have been carefully assessed and targeted to do the most damage to the regime directly.

Iran's appear to have been hit and hope, use 'em or lose 'em.

Guess the next steps are:

Do Iran still have the capability to attack?

What's the situation like in Iran on the ground i.e how many protests are forming, is there a legitimate challenge to the leadership being formed?

With Iran's links to several terrorist organisations around the world is there a high risk of retaliatory attacks via terrorism for these attacks/Khaneneis death?

More a question of who is now directing the next stage of Iran's retaliation and do they hold sway over the rest of their military capabilites.

It sounds doubtful and that the whole command is in chaos.
