Mike Kay, military advisor and security correspondent gave a detailed description of the rescue mission this morning on BBC news. He said the two C130 were stuck in sand after being used to deploy troops to support the recovery of the F15 WSO. Three more C130 were then used to rescue the troops. The grounded C130 were then destroyed by US.I think on balance I believe they did manage to get the WSO out of there, but I do wonder about the two C-130s burning in Iran. The Iranians claim to have shot them down whilst the Americans claim they couldn't get them back off the ground and set them on fire. I'm less sure about which side I believe on this one as the optics for the US are potentially very bad for the US if they were indeed shot down.
Firstly, the whole point of them is takeoff from unprepared runways, so if they were able to land they were most likely to have been able to take off. Why did they not manage to take off again? Also, what were they carrying? They are regularly used for troop movement, is that what these were being used for? If so, how did the Americans get likely over 100 troops back out if their planes are now on fire on the ground?
If the planes did in fact get shot down and they were being used for troop transport then it's a whole different set of questions.
I get the explanations, I'm just not sure I buy it. Especially so given the photos from the scene appear to show the rotor from at least one Blackhawk that the US haven't admitted to losing (as far as I'm aware, I may have missed it) but the Iranians have claimed shooting down.Mike Kay, military advisor and security correspondent gave a detailed description of the rescue mission this morning on BBC news. USA wasn’t the only country involved.Do tell…
The only evidence I have on that point is that you are prepared to accept the word of a regime that to anyone other than a simpleton it would be obvious are inveterate liars. This conclusion is easily arrived at by observing what they say and applying critical thinking skills. I’d say it isn’t especially hard for most people to do this
So yes, the fact you are happy to take what the US regime says at face value (which is precisely what you posted) means you are ill-equipped, poorly equipped in fact, to evaluate what is going on. Partly because you are taking numerous lies at face value so you are subject to misinformation as part of your process of evaluation, but also because it brings into question your wider judgement.
And I would say exactly the same to anyone who was naive enough to take at face value what the Iranian or Israeli regime had to say.
Think they probably have got him btw, but I absolutely won’t believe it until I see it, and there is verifiable evidence that it’s the guy who was in that plane, as I wouldn’t put it past them to pull a fast one on that.
Isn't that the truth. Fuckin disgusting. Every News & Radio channel are on loop with this while mass slaughter is being ignored. The main problem is CENTCOM have been caught lying half a dozen times. About casualties, about aircraft losses, about bombing civilians, about their own missiles malfunctioning and killing people in Bahrain (blaming it on Iranian drones).
So I’m not going to believe anything from the US or Iran about this whole operation because the story will probably change significantly over the next month.
The main thing it’s shown is how the Western media care 100x more about one missing weapons officer likely shot down on his way to bomb civilian infrastructure, than Israel and the USA killing hundreds of Middle Eastern people a day in an illegal war where they’re openly bragging about committing war crimes.
I'm surprised he's not claimed the reward for finding the airman from Iran.Yank ****
