A big thanks to Cookie Monster for stepping into the breach for the Open at Hoylake and doing the thread.

Ok so here goes, last major of the season. Can't see Woods being fit in time. The Rag Rory is firing on all cylinders. All tips and discussion in here.

I'm on as follows:-

Adam Scott £5 EW@11-1
Rickie Fowler £5 EW@22-1
Justin Rose £2 EW @18-1
Henrick Stenson £2 EW@25-1
Jason Duffner £1 EW@90-1

It would be some story if Woods does play and then goes on to win it. All these injuries over the past few seasons has taken its toll on him. Also saying that I wouldnt be shocked to see him retiring in the next year or 2 if his injuires dont sorts itself out.

In 2 minds on who to do. Look for value and see what i come up with. Kaymar has played some great golf this year as has Rory. I think the main men will be there or abouts.

Looks like Woods will at least start the tournament. Whether he completes all four rounds (if indeed he makes the cut) is another story. The back seems to be a major weak point for him. As someone who does suffer from a bad back at times, he has my sympathy. When it's a real struggle to get into the car or to stand up after being seated for 15-20 minutes, I can only imagine what it's like to play a round of golf, with all the inherent stresses on the back .

Saw Donald at 90/1 and couldn't resist. I know I know. Same with Casey at 110/1. I can't help it.

Also done Kaymer at 40's, Oosthuizen at 100's and Kuchar at 30's. Game on.

Jason Day is doing well at the moment for me. If ever he had a chance of winning a major its this weekend. Yesterdays round he was truely amazing hopefully this is his weekend. Got him at 66/1 come on Day.

Except Rory is streets ahead of everyone and will dominate more and for longer than Woods did. We are in the midst of something very, very special.

True Rory is playing some brilliant golf but just think we might see Rory blowing up in the final 2 rounds he will have a nightmare round. Which has been his season so far always has a bad round. Dont know if he will dominate longer than Woods did thats a brave statement still think if Woods gets over his injuries then he could win another few majors. The other golfers out there now some of the younger players look good and the talent is there and a lot could win a few majors.

apart from the 3 times he's won, which are 3 of the biggest tournaments, 2 in the last 3 weeks, he seems to have shaken the dodgy round out of the system, and when it matters as well, you can't see anyone coming close to him this weekend unless they have a truly exceptional time.
