For real?“I mean, if Donald Trump can be held accountable for his words and actions, than any of us can be. And that’s not the America I want to live in.”
He actually said that???

I only heard it. He definitely sounded a little choked.Jack Smith was very emotional.
No, but that is essentially what McCarthy was saying. For real?
He actually said that???
I think the biggest question is if there is any level of evidence or information (admission by him or his cronies, first hand account, or other discoveries) that would persuade Trump’s base that he is not someone that should be president again.2 big factors are:
What will come out another various trials? The evidence will be what really shifts public opinion. Especially if Trump's own people testify against him.
The second issue is the cost, he's looking at 3 maybe 4 massive law suits as well as plenty of other rumbling legal problems. Can he keep rinsing his base to cover it and what's left to actually fight an election.
Listening to MSNBC now.MSNBC is reporting that the Secret Service was notified that Pence may be in danger from the former guy.
Faux reporting Trumps response is sending out emails asking for money.Listening to MSNBC now.
The GOP is struggling...I think the biggest question is if there is any level of evidence or information (admission by him or his cronies, first hand account, or other discoveries) that would persuade Trump’s base that he is not someone that should be president again.
Up until the last few weeks, almost nothing has done that. Luckily, there were more people in 2020 that knew what he was than didn’t, but I am not sure the numbers of his supporters have really decreased much in the last 3 years, despite the mounting evidence of corruption, malfeasance, and now outright treason, even to the self-proclaimed “most patriotic party”. And Republican gerrymandering (including states literally ignoring Supreme Court rulings to ensure their illegal electoral dominance like Alabama) and election-rigging has only intensified ahead of next year.
I am not optimistic about what is to come over the next 14 months or so. But I certainly hope I am wrong about possible violence and illegal election interference.
