The share of republicans and independents that believe Trump has done nothing wrong has been dropping over the last few weeks according to CBS and Marist polls…

But I am still hesitant to believe this will do anything but further entrench his base in the belief that their messiah is being politically persecuted.

We can live in hope, though. There’s not much else that can be done at this point.
 
Can I just say, the US has looked an emotional wreck for the last few years and needed to eradicate certain elements of those who would only choose to look after themselves.

Well done to Biden, probably the only one who could bring us this far.

2 big factors are:

What will come out another various trials? The evidence will be what really shifts public opinion. Especially if Trump's own people testify against him.

The second issue is the cost, he's looking at 3 maybe 4 massive law suits as well as plenty of other rumbling legal problems. Can he keep rinsing his base to cover it and what's left to actually fight an election.
