The other thing that these Alt-Right, Pro-Putin, devils advocate bellends forget with their “why are you sending my tax money to Ukraine” is the fact that the US isn’t sending money. It’s sending arms. It’s sending arms that have already been made. Arms that are already in existence. Arms that continue to make big profit and large GDP entries in the country’s balance sheet. The US taxpayer isn’t just helping Ukraine per se, the US taxpayer is subsidising the US Arms Industry/Military Industrial Complex. It’s a win win for those guys.
The United States is sending taxpayer money to Ukraine. As of September 22, 2023, the US has provided approximately $115 billion in emergency funding to support Ukraine since Russia's invasion on February 24, 2022. This aid provides money for Ukraine, American partners in regions affected by the conflict, and US national security programs.
The aid includes a mix of military, humanitarian, and economic assistance. Military aid includes weapons, ammunition, and other equipment to help Ukraine defend itself against Russia. Humanitarian said includes food, water, shelter, and medical care for people displaced by the war. Economic assistance includes loans and grants to help Ukraine keep its government and economy running.
For the record, we don't care or want a military industrial complex that makes money from the misfortune of others either. When did leftists become warmongers?
So do us all a favor and just stick to throwing insults. That's your role here. Stick to it.
