It makes me wonder how anybody is still defending Trump. But clearly the quality of what's left is farkakte.

In this case Trump could have had a jury trial but his lawyers failed to file a request. That simple error sped this up.

He's basically down to people who are fans and want a career on TV once this is all over. He doesn't have serious lawyers. Hence he's lost in devastating style. This is a court ruling and its a civil case so there is no appeal. Trump org is going to get wound up.

He's already got tax avoidance issues lurking in the background and this clears the way for another legal problem on that front. That one would be another state level criminal charge if it comes. Plus what else might they uncover as they wind up his businesses.

I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest that things will only get more expensive for him with incoming fines from this and other suits (E. Jean Carroll 2.0), along with the dissolving of whatever assets he had in the Trump Org, and these fraud charges will make lines of credit difficult to come by.

Even his cult might not have deep enough pockets for all that.

"Engoron found that Trump consistently overvalued Mar-a-Lago on his financial statements between 2014 and 2021, inflating its value on one statement by 2,300%, and rebuked him for lying about the size of his Trump Tower apartment in Manhattan. Trump claimed the three-story penthouse was nearly three times its actual size, valuing the property at $327 million."

So he was close then.

Trump has cash in his grift vehicles. Buy he's going to get tied up with campaign finance laws. And he's not going to be spending it on his campaign.

But its also the trajectory of his legal woes. 2 big cases so far and 2 big losses, both civil. Just takes one criminal trial loss and he's likely in jail.

Prosecutors and their witnesses will be taking note. And those who may have / might want to flip...
