How this gigantic mega rich country can only find a crook and a geriatric pensioner to stand for their highest office is a complete mystery to me.

A crook because he has created a cult and thats how they work, and an old man because the one doing the job, perfectly well, just happens to be old.

Not right now, no. I am sure someone will emerge. Folks seem to think my Governor Gavin Newsom is next but I assure you everyone will be complaining about how “slippery” he is a few years from now, and he’s no kind of Everyman. Maybe Buttegieg but not sure if a gay man can win nationally, even now.

On one of my many US tours I was in the Capitol building in Richmond. The guide proudly pointed out the busts of all the presidents from that state and the fact they had provided the most presidents. They had a space reserved for the next one, which hasn’t yet happened.

Because American culture and therefore citizens are dominated by the idea that they're heroes fighting evil, like a Marvel movie. So they vote for the ones their parties or their chosen media told them to.

We seem to go round in circles on these discussions around 'who else' or 'is this the best they have'.

The reality is that it takes name recognition and fundraising power to get in a good spot for the dems. Those things come with time. Look at the primary that Biden won first time. He beat a bunch of fellow old timers.

You also have to ask who would want the job other than a career politician or a narcissist.

Taylor Swift would clean up. She would probably be good at it as well. But why would she want to.

Recent polls in swing states suggest that reasonable facsimile is ebbing away in an alarming fashion. I for sure hope they're way off the mark because my only hope would be that shitgibbon gets locked up or preferably popped

This is all down to Biden bending over for Israel why he's now losing in those swing states. Those young folk cannot bring themselves to vote for Biden regardless if it let's the other **** Trump in.

I can see why people think it would be nicer to have a younger option available but at the same time I can't think any blunders on the topic of governance from Biden administration that has been caused by his old age. Shouldn't that be of the highest consideration when it comes to voting?
