US Politics Thread

I can see why people think it would be nicer to have a younger option available but at the same time I can't think any blunders on the topic of governance from Biden administration that has been caused by his old age. Shouldn't that be of the highest consideration when it comes to voting?
Of course it should be, but the narrative has to shift to Biden's perceived flaws because no one can point to Trump's virtues, morally-speaking or governance-wise. The entire GOP platform can be summariz(s)ed as "Let's Go Brandon".

Not got a problem with Biden as a polititian, just fear another term might finish him off.

I am just staggered that the parties can't find a dynamic younger person to stand for the post.

Mind you we can hardly cast the first stone with the motly crowd we have to choose from.

We seem to go round in circles on these discussions around 'who else' or 'is this the best they have'.

The reality is that it takes name recognition and fundraising power to get in a good spot for the dems. Those things come with time. Look at the primary that Biden won first time. He beat a bunch of fellow old timers.

You also have to ask who would want the job other than a career politician or a narcissist.

Taylor Swift would clean up. She would probably be good at it as well. But why would she want to.
Jamie Raskin?

Recent polls in swing states suggest that reasonable facsimile is ebbing away in an alarming fashion. I for sure hope they're way off the mark because my only hope would be that shitgibbon gets locked up or preferably popped
Don’t trust the polls, particularly on specifics. Currently they consistently underestimate Democrats and overestimate GOP.

This is all down to Biden bending over for Israel why he's now losing in those swing states. Those young folk cannot bring themselves to vote for Biden regardless if it let's the other **** Trump in.

Anyone who chosses not to vote for Biden because of Gaza deserves what happens to them when Trump is elected.

Which is fitting because as of this week his stated policy is deporting people who go to pro-Palestinian protests and cutting off all aid to Gaza and the West Bank.

I guess some folk just can't forgive him for the weapons he keeps sending over to blow up thousands of kids. They'll make the Democrat’s pay the ultimate price.

It's not just the democrats who'll be paying the ultimte price though is it?

It's all women, any minority, probably all Americans and most importantly for the point...all Palestinians.

Pure stupidity.

But what's stupidity is Biden ignoring 70 - 80% of the Democrat’s base on his decision making over the conflict. Totally ignored them and done as he wishes. Fuckin lunacy and I'm in no doubt it will cost him.

Stupidity is deciding not to vote for someone who's bad on Israel/Palestine to teach him a lesson and in doing so helping elect someone who is 10x worse for Palestinians and you.

Making a few false steps when trying to navigate a minefield that is Gaza while the Republicans and half his own party do everything they can to make things worse is regrettable but predictable and has happened to every non-conservative leader on the world stage since October.
