The suspected attacker has espoused extreme right-wing views on social media, including conspiracy theories about Covid-19, according to WSJ citing law-enforcement officials. The man, named by police as David Depape, 42, also allegedly posted videos from Donald Trump ally and MyPillow founder Mike Lindell, as well as theories on the January 6 attack on the Capitol.

DePape is a Democrat.
DePape's Facebook account is full of far left wing posts.
Paul Pelosi was in a gay relationship with DePape and it all went wrong on the night.
Nancy set it up.
It was an attempt to have the mid terms postponed.

When the police turned up the assailant and his victim were embraced in a struggle, both holding the hammer. The police officers attempted to intervene and Pelosi released the hammer. His assailant then hit him before one of the officers stepped in.
Had Pelosi's attacker not been white I have no doubt he would have been dealt with very differently and most likely dead already, hence NOT arrested.
