The thing that's always made me suspicious about it is the constant need to promote it. Almost as if your returns rely on getting everyone else to invest their money. Like it maybe, just possibly, one big pyramid scheme. I've never seen an advert for the FTSE or had people desperately calling for me to invest in the S&P.
You should invest in the S&P 500 for sure, fwiw.

I don't know how. But also I had a load of money in a saving account in the Cayman Islands with a company that "went bust" but mysteriously still has offices in other territories, so I'm a bit suspicious about the whole thing. Currently going through the administrators.

I should really be putting money into the Malaysian pension scheme, which you can take out when you leave.

In the U.K., Hargreaves Lansdown are a good and low cost way to do it and fully FCA Regulated so the money can’t suddenly disappear.

I usually find with these things that they expect you to be a UK resident though. I ended up being screwed by my company, because they did matching pension contributions into a savings account, but only with 'approved providers.' But they wouldn't tell you whether a provider was approved until you brought it to them. Which left us with not much choice other than accounts in dodgy tax havens and 'financial advisors' that were clearly taking a cut of whatever they recommended, unlike (apparently) in the UK. Especially when I was based in Morocco and most of them wouldn't touch it with a barge pole because of some ridiculous laws they've got over there.

But anyway, thanks. I'll take a look.

This is the kind of stuff that Trump used to post on twitter and it would be a large part of the day's news cycle. Now people just don't give a shit. He might get some attention for running this week, but people are happily ignoring his BS now and they will just go back to that. The primary voting doesn't even start for over a year and he's been dropping so many hints it's hardly news.

It was mainly to highlight the blatant racism that a few of our posters seem to happily ignore because 'both sides same'.

Agree both sides not the same. Only 1 is routinely racist. Its lost the shock value. He can say whatever he wants and it doesn't get the clicks anymore. People are done with him. The GOP are going to learn this one way or another. Looking forward to Ron DeSantis announcing his campaign, I assume he will wait as long as possible as Trump only seems to get weaker.

The biggest problem for those now denouncing Trump as the second coming of Satan himself (including DeSantis) is that they all kissed his arse on the way up and never even considered an exit strategy for when it all went tits up. Trump will have so much dirt on every single one of them and he isn't going to go down without a fight. There will be a lot of careers going up in flames before the dust settles on this.

Rick Wilson (co-founder of the Lincoln Project) was right when he said 'Everything Trump Touches Dies'.
