What was especially heartening about this election was the rejection of the “fraudulent 2020” narrative. We knew the abortion narrative would be a draw for young blues. But the number of independents and even Republicans who rejected red candidates BECAUSE of the “fraud 2020” lines they took is staggering — you can see it in the ticket splits for the Sec of State races where every single election denier lost. And since that’s all those candidates had as a platform, they aren’t coming back. Mo Brooks — that limp-dicked crowd-riler on 1/6 — eviscerated Trump yesterday (like the shit hypocrite he is); Pence’s book is coming and all indications are it won’t be kind to Trump. One politician who should be on stage right now — Liz Cheney. Suddenly there might be an opening for her as a candidate for President in 24. I cannot stand her politics but she’s going to get a lot of points for standing up in the face of all this. Like with Nixon, eventually Trump was always going to become a pariah — it was just a matter of when. I thought (and worried) it would take longer than this.
