If that’s right then I don’t see how the GOP does anything except get smaller, which means their power shrinks. You’re saying that’s what the GOP wants. “They” don’t want to install Trump as a forever dictator — Trump wants it, some others do, but most don’t — especially not those who have to run against candidates who will use Trump as a stick to beat them with. Trump’s past his apex — if he wasn’t he wouldn’t have lost, the red wave wouldn’t have been a trickle, and the current polls wouldn’t say what they do. I’m trying to be sensible but I’m also looking at facts and while I think MAGAites are crazy it’s not an ideology which is gaining traction — it’s losing traction, and the data says so.
Agree with you 100% but you know that conversation that you have with rebellious teens regarding logic and the right way to approach stuff but it just doesn't work??
Well MAGA is essentially those rebelliously racist grown up children that would rather get gratification from QAnon, MAGA than cold hard facts.
And you're right they will continue to get smaller and smaller.. GenZ saved us this time but may not be able to next time since they're still a sizeable force.
It really won't be till 2030 that they start aging out of the voting population that we can actually start to improve things.
And maybe that's all there is to the Republican philosophy all long.. what have they given us that's positive for our country in the last 60 years?
Healthcare? Nope that was Obamacare
Higher minimum wage? Nope that was Obama back in 2009
Better infrastructure? LOL when was the last time the GOP signed onto an infrastructure bill.
Rights for citizens? Nope they're busy trying to take them away.
Can go on and on but their entire philosophy is about going back to the 1800's pre-civil war society where they can boss everyone around who's not white and rule like kings!
The majority is resisting that pull, but the electoral college tips the balance in their favor everytime that unless its a landslide.. they will win the senate and the presidency.
Common sense would say we need to fix antiquated laws and establish majority rule but instead we have what we have where Trump won despite losing by 3 million votes.
And he could win again just like he did before with only 28% of the GOP vote!
