Like ourselves your whole democracy has debased itself and turned into a joke over the last few years. Biden to be fair seems to be the grown up in the room but most of the democrats seem more intent on the pantomime of trump/post trump than addressing the polarisation of politics and getting back to credible govt.

It's wild. McC has now lost 6 votes. But the most significant thing here is that Trump has publicly backed him, today. The extremists who are blocking him call themselves MAGA, they are Trump people. But they have broken away and don't give a F. The GQP basically has no leadership now, it's fractious to the point of non functioning.

These idiots must be pissing off a lot of people. Anyone's guess how this plays out. If you are a GOP rep you must be thinking that this behaviour can not be rewarded and therefore the chances of a deal to progress with dem votes must be growing by the hour. Its that or the small cabal of idiots are calling all the shots.

I’ve gotta hand it to you — you’re the only both-sideser still here peddling this fairly ridiculous take. Full marks for persistence, but a failing grade otherwise. Democrats spent the last two years unifying their progressive and moderate wings. Now the “polarisation” on display is GOPers at each other’s throats, and the “pantomime” over Trump is internal to Republicans since everyone else has given him the Heisman.

You’re sharp enough to catch on eventually, hopefully before we colonise Mars.

Yep, pretty much the two options they appear to be left with. I suspect McCarthy will eventually read the handwriting on the wall (apparently written in Sanskrit for him), but then, is there any Gop-er that can get to the magic number if McCarthy can't?
