I don't think there is a single serious member of the GQP in the House except maybe Newhouse from Washington or Valadao from California. They're the only two who voted to impeach and are still in congress. Obviously Newhouse would be the better choice since Valadao is of Portuguese heritage which means he's considered to be Mexican by most republicans.

The reality is this is the best scenario for the Dems. It just makes the GOP look stupid, fractures their relationships and stops them doing anything meaningful.

Any collusion to get a consensus candidate elected just unites the remainder of the GOP. Dems will just play this straight for as long as it suits them. Things will change when they need to pass something with a deadline. Then the Dems might have to get involved with some discussion.

Apparently some Democratic congresspeople ACTUALLY BROUGHT POPCORN INTO THE CHAMBERS DURING THE VOTING. I hope that’s true, petty as it is.
 
funny as fuck - the equivalent of the Mayday days and the early Johnson days where they couldn't get anything through Parliament. - Its like " No he hasn't won... lets try again ..... best of 3 or 5 or 7....maybe change the voting system? " Ends up with ITS NOT FAIR OUR LUNATIC GUY CANNOT WIN IT SEEMS !!!
