He’s getting things done tbf

I'm gonna make a bold prediction. Decades from now, Biden will be looked on as one of the best presidents of the first quater of the 21st century.

Trump is obviously the worst in the same period and arguably the worst of all time.

Apparently they are just the same though.

I'm going to 'double down' on my earlier post that explains what's in the bill. BJG explains, even further, why the I.R.A. bill is why it is.

The parliamentarian explanation is especially highlighted as it's something Biden hooked his tenure to at the start of his presidency. Pure bullshittery from 'brilliant' Dems...

If the Republicans only copied the italian right wing who wants people to have healthcare, universal basic income and limit it to those who are italian rather than giving it up to everyone.. they would double their voters.

Instead they try and please Trump, Trumps base and start alienating women, lesbians, gays, trans with just about every legislation just because..

They are to blame when they force people to vote dems because people feel its better than having right wing utopia.

The Republican party doesn't want to achieve that kind of society.

The GOP was taken over by a far right libertarian nutter movement long before Trump. Their true masters are the likes of the Kochs brothers and big businesses who are opposed to improving workers rights and all the goodies that you mentioned in the above post.

Because billionaires only have one vote each, they aren't enough people who would vote for them. In order for the GOP to win power they have to build an electoral coalition out of voting blocks of lunatic movements.

Anti LGBT, evangelical Christians, racists, alt-right losers and incels.

Trump isn't an aberration of the GOP, he is the true embodiment of it.

Well, I see you don't recognise irony!

Is it not the Dems that have offered no policy to vote for (healthcare, real wages, proper taxing of billion dollar companies, etc.) but are driving something to vote against (look at what the GOP are doing to you!)? Very similar to how Labour are now.

An alligator is an alligator that will do alligator things, so one shouldn't expect an alligator to change (GOP).

A wolf that pretends its a sheep dressed in patches of wool, even if some now believe it's a sheep, is going to have natural instincts of a wolf and do wolf things (Dems).

I'm not sure why people accept the 'lesser of two evils' tropes so much as a way to live life. People deserve better than to be gaslit every day.

Clearly you don't understand the Koch (one brother died) companies funds BOTH PARTIES to reach their own end. Trump, once, funded Democrats.

Many billionaire companies lobby/ buy off politicians for their own ends, such as 'Big Pharma' as to why there is no national healthcare push. The MIC is a really good example as to why there's a coalition to fund making arms to sell to other countries as war is an excellent business model.

Sure, there are 'lunatic movements' attached to the GOP and they will court the vote. Do you think there are none attached to the Dems?

Aww, love. You poor, innocent lamb...

And, perhaps the worst part about this, is that radical far right ideas become mainstream Republican politics over time, accepted and embraced by the average Republican voter.

Very possible. Most people don't have fixed political persuasions, they are attracted by narratives and the apparent solutions.

That’s why MAGA and Brexit were so persuasive. Simple solutions for simple people, With conmen selling them a grossly oversimplified impression of a very complex world.

Perhaps you're from the UK where this may be true.

In the United States, this is absolutely not the case. The majority of our electorate is locked in - Republican or Democrat no matter what. It's a minority of voters, say 15% to 25% or so, that are open to voting for either party.

I was thinking more of idealogy rather than parties.

Fair point. But I'd suggest most are ill informed and it is just akin to picking a sports team because of "salty liberal tears".

Americans aren't known for being particularly well informed, as evidenced by many of them voting against the Democrats "communist" agenda to protect their freedom.

I dunno, I didn't say these words...

"The Trump raid was about retrieving physical documents rather than electronic. If Trump hadn’t taken them or simply returned them, then there would have been no grounds for the raid."

Anyway, who knows if they actually found anything. I don't think I've heard any reports of that yet.

We'll see.

Which is correct. An electronic document would not necessarily require a visit in person to retrieve them in the way a physical document would. It would depend on how the electronic document was stored and on what medium.

I'm probably going to make a fool of.myself by saying this, but i truly believe America is headed for civil war within the next 2/3 years.

Actually, you should. That the GOP is given a pass and no one seriously expects them to govern in a serious or sensible manner is the root of the problem. The Democrats at least try. They make get things wrong and talk out of their arse at times, but at least there is a semblance of adults trying to govern. The GOP has no interest in governing - it doesn‘t even believe in governing or the concept of Government, and that is simply not sustainable.

Moving the goalposts? What did I say?

Dems give you nothing to vote FOR, no policies, no hope.

They trade in fear and you buy it, feverishly.

I note you also dodged the FACT and it IS FACT the billionaire companies fund BOTH parties to their own end.

Didn't see a denial, just deflection. You've been upgraded to 'Captain' in your neolib ranking for deflecting super quick!

What, like 'Obamacare'? When the Dems denied your citizens to the right to healthcare, the Republicans set the model Obama took credit for.

I don't actually see any policies they want people to vote for.

The difference being the GOP, cunts as they are, will find a way of ramming through policy. Besides Obama deciding to fight back at the end of his tenure, when was the last time that happened?

I know you have me on 'ignore' and you secretly read my posts, but fact is fact.
