Hey everyone,
Remember when Bernie Sanders campaigned on a Muslim ban? That was fun.
Remember how the crowds at Sanders rallies used to chant about locking up Hillary Clinton and building a border wall.
Remember when Sanders campaigned on forcibly removing all illegal immigrants in the country?
You live in a fucking fantasy.
Trump campaigned on repealing Obamacare and going back to pre-2012. Sanders campaigned on Nationalised Healthcare for everyone. They are literally the polar opposite policies.
Sanders didn't campaign on jobs going overseas because he's not a fucking moron and knew the number of jobs in the USA had grown every single year under Obama.
Trumps 2017 tax bill cut corporation tax from 35 to 21%. Literally the opposite of what Sanders wanted. He dropped the top tax rate from 40% to 37% when Sanders wanted it to be 52%.
In fact Sanders hated Trumps tax bill so much he keeps introducing legislature to reverse it!

Bernie Sanders unveils plan to raise corporate tax rate to 35% and ban stock buybacks
Sanders, who is recovering from a heart attack, reveals the new tax plan a day before the third Democratic debate.www.cnbc.com
No one, and I mean this, no one is dumber than the fucking morons who voted for Trump because Sanders lost the Democratic primary.
Did he have any intention of actually doing anything he promised... I mean besides building a wall and Muslim bans?
Oh he didn't, so it is pointless comparing an independent political activist with a drug-addicted illiterate man-child.
No, but this is really important. THEY NEVER SHARED ANY POLICIES.
Bernie Sanders fucking despises Trump and damn near all of his policy pledges, kept or unkept.
If Trump campaigned on similar policies to Sanders and broke his word, you could forgive people who thought they were closer to each other than the mainstream democrats. The truth, however, is they never shared any similarities and people who jumped from Sanders to Trump did it out of childish spite because their guy lost, and in doing so they made their own lives and so many others much worse.
Because they are idiots.
I'm probably going to make a fool of.myself by saying this, but i truly believe America is headed for civil war within the next 2/3 years.
They were on the brink in January. Got to rely on the cooler heads that prevail in that place and that is the coasts where people with sense go after jobs and make a life. The middle and south bits would have a civil war tomorrow and they can say what they like, this is the reaction to having had a black president
He's got a reputation to keep up.None of these people had their homes raided.
Mark Meadows, GW Bush, Condoleeza Rica, Colin Powell, Jared Kushner, Ivanka Trump, Jeb Bush, WIS governor Scott Walker, Marco Rubio, Chris Christie, Rick Perry, Bobby Jindal.
So yeah, there's your consistency.

Why do you always have to act the clown?
You miss the point.
A con man makes his sales through hope. Trump offered hope that he understood the disenfranchised voter, not the truth.
I thought he was selling hate not hope.
If I chuck down a rope will you pass up the shovel?
Do you believe just selling hate got him into the white house?
Serious question.
Remember, you would have to factor in all the poor that voted, the Black and Latino voter, women and the poorly educated.

How about the Cubans that voted for Trump in 2020 to stop communism?
Was that selling hope?
There are plenty of thick Americans taken in by empty promises. All politicians sell a bit of hope, even if it is for problems they caused (see Rishi and Liz).
Trump's campaign was more hateful than hopeful. A disgusting repugnant speech on his inauguration about America First is the perfect example of that.
Thick and uneducated people vote for simplistic solutions what is your point comparing him with Sanders unless you believe that Sander's policies were as equally detached from reality?
The trouble is you're looking for direct comparable policies. I didn't suggest or offer that. I said they campaigned on similar things.
The difference being, Sanders' offer was genuine (you call his campaign "empty promises") whereas Trump's wasn't, obviously. Sanders hasn't ventured that far from 2016 and, in fact, is probably angling more that way in recent times with his latest speeches.
In 2020, Trump had traversed from outsider to insider, from businessman to politician, so using the Cuban voting strategy is pointless as Trump was already in. In 2016, Sanders AND Trump were both classed as 'outsiders'.
"Thick and uneducated people vote for simplistic solutions" which is why I feel sorry that they vote against their own interests because they're not given something to vote FOR.
That's a Dem issue.
Where is the understanding that if the Dems actually made policy for people and not deny them the things acceptable to live by that they would keep out the GOP for years?
Was it not Obama not governing for the people that let the GOP in? Trump got in on a similar rhetoric that Sanders was on, but we know what he did with that.
You'd have to ask why the Dems would deny a politician that links very well with the people that opportunity to give them the seating power for years/ a decade at least.
The GOP don't win anything, the Dems let them in with poor policy.
Do you believe just selling hate got him into the white house?
Serious question.
Remember, you would have to factor in all the poor that voted, the Black and Latino voter, women and the poorly educated.
I didn't. If one is genuine and one is a fraud what is the point of the comparison?
The Trump vote was predominantly white, old and less educated. It was mainly built on resentment and fear. Resentment that favoured groups got ‘special treatment’ and fear that the white demographic was eroding.
Independents split 50/50.

An examination of the 2016 electorate, based on validated voters
One of the biggest challenges facing those who seek to understand U.S. elections is establishing an accurate portrait of the American electorate and thewww.pewresearch.org
It’s rhetoric. And some will buy it, and some will act in ways like this deranged fuckstick idiot did. Who is the general who commands the deranged fuckstick idiots? What about the colonels and lieutenants and sergeants? How do deranged fuckstick idiots act like disciplined soldiers with enough might to take on and down the nation? It’s why the civil war fears aren’t IMO very realistic. It's this sort of rhetoric that is dangerous. The GOP should condem it but they won't because they don't want to loose their base. This short term thinking is also dangerous. Nobody seems to be thinking about the damage all this rhetoric can do in the long term until its too late. I hope I am wrong because the consequences don't bear thinking about, not just for America.
Is it not the fact that HOPE was the thing people clung to, to change their current status?
I can't explain something that was pretty obvious in 2016 and why Trump got in, rather than people rely on more Dem lack of policy to help them.
But, it's okay, I'm 'talking shit' to some when the evidence was plain as day.
