Presumably if the republicans win the mid-terms, they will be able to find a mechanism to prevent Trump from being prosecuted and will leave him clear to run in 2024. They already have key people in place who control how elections are run in many states and with SCOTUS already corrupted I can't see much to stop them completing their coup in 2024 irrespective of how people actually vote. I hope the administration have a plan to counter this because simply getting more votes than the other side isn't enough any more when there are people who will happily override the will of the people based on fabricated bullshit.

I dont think having a majority in the house or congress enables them to do anything about the justice department. Isnt it up to Biden who leads the departments?

There's not that much they can do to the justice department until 2024.

Anyway it's looking like they won't win the mid-terms anyway, even if we ignore polling, these numbers look very problematic for Republicans and may explain why Fox has had some panicked discussions about losing in recent days.

Fully agree. He looks a perfect candidate, but as you say, they kick up a stink when a female gets anywhere close to a position of power, so the chances of a gay man ever reaching the pinnacle in our lifetime, is extremely low.

The other guy I'm impressed with everytime he speaks is Eric Swalwell.

If our government would allow independent arbitration for the rail strikes here there might be some progress. Biden is doing the right thing.

They don't need independent arbitration. The government just needs to allow the rail employers to be independent of government.

So Agent Orange is now suing the DoJ to prevent them reviewing the documents he illegally held?
That's... well, it's unsurprising, but how can they tell what the material is if they're not allowed to review them?


Good of him to make his plea to a judge he appointed though.
 
So Trump wants a "special master" to oversee the DoJ's examination of the material taken from Mar a Lago - none of which should have left the White House...
