You can't blame Democrats. Those who voted for knew who he was and still voted for him. That's on them.

The US is alone in this amongst western democracies who have all had leaders who were women or gay or anything but straight white male. They are antideluvian.
Mind you we did have Truss.
 
I would be happy if they could get a couple of daft things right.
First is "Math". "You do the math"? I thought it is short for Mathematics, so "You do the maths".
Sadly i'm hearing people here (and on TV) now saying "Math". Drives me nuts!
Next bugbear is this Month Day Year shit. Either Day Month Year, or at least Year Month Day if you must!

Errrrr . . . didn't the English invent mm/dd/yyyy? Then America borrowed it, England switched to match Europe, but the USA kept it? That said -- I agree it's dumb and should be dd/mm/yyyy.

I recall we had whole debate on the math vs. maths thing. I'm sure there's been more than one. Math is just shorthand for mathematics the way psych is shorthand for psychology. I don't think whether it's pluralized really matters. Never been sure why the English get so bent out of shape about this TBH (or vice-versa).

Now if you want to complain about how sport(s) over here put home teams second and not first in a match-up (i.e. City v. United written in American would mean United was the home team), I'll listen. It comes from baseball where the home team bats second in each inning so scores were showed visitor vs. home. But it's silly in other sport(s). MLS over here I honestly never know who is playing at home because I've seen matches listed both the true football way and the American way. Drives me batty.
