Worth remembering that during a gov shutdown most federal workers are on enforced unpaid furlough. Essential workers have to work unpaid. Both these groups should get back pay when the gov returns. Trump? Oh yes he gets paid.
Congressmen? Oh yes they get paid.
A few congressmen refuse their pay but I particularly laughed at the senator who said he had a mortgage to pay and three kids to feed, so he couldn’t give his cheque back! He failed to mention the plight of his constituents who have mortgages and kids.
