Probably because ones a global war mongering superpower and the others a member state of the EU (which the UK is still part of). That's like a New Yorker asking why the Russian presidential elections got more media coverage in New York than the Missouri Senate elections. Plus most European politicians are happy to be out of the limelight, Berlusconi is a good example of one who wasn't and was never out of the news.
What about our coverage of Russian and Chinese politics then?
We just sit in our room with USA permanently marked on the bottom of our brogues wondering when the next time the USA will come and play with us will be.

I was in the States 3 weeks ago and everybody wanted to talk about Brexit. So they're not quite as insular as we think.Who do the British care so much about American Politics? Whilst on the flip-side they'd probably struggle to name a single prime-minster to ever run this country

To answer the other question, Britain isn't very important for more Yanks. It's got a similar sized economy to California.
Completely agree. I don't know a single Englishman who could name a German Chancellor.
If you were a regular viewer of Pointless you would know that not many of us can name many politicians from any country, including our own.

I'd say so. A more relevant question is whether the Syrian government can claim to have any real control over the area Raqqa is in?Does a Failed State still count as sovereign?

Putin is on the news every single day, whether for internal or international policies and the last Russian election got wall to wall coverage when he jailed the only credible opposition in the run up. They don't have elections in China.What about our coverage of Russian and Chinese politics then?

They've only had Berlusconi up until recently really and he was hard to take seriously, bit of a joke, just like the shitgibbon.You know me and I can name a few. Bit fucked when it comes to Italian prime ministers or presidents though.
