US/UK launch strikes against Houthi rebels in Yemen

It doesn't take too many google searches to find this.

Bloody Google has a lot to answer for these days. In your opinion, has Iran taken any action since the Ayatollahs took over in 1979 towards the destruction of Israel? I am talking actual physical destruction, not rhetorical.

Do you understand the word proxy?

Nope, that’s the excuse but they’re doing it because Iran has told them to.
Of course they are. But this escalated situation didn't exist before isreal gaza. And they have said it is in direct response to gaza situation and the media are saying the same..... it's a widening of the issues between isreal and gaza. More sure what more to say tbh, it's of course related to isreal.

It may have been the trigger point but simple fact is, if you attack the US/UK Navy there was always going to be an escalation. one or 2 can be fobbed off, more than that was alwasy going to get a retaliation. they have picked a fight they cant win and to be honest it wouldn't surprise me if it was the aim all along to destabilise more and get more countries involved.

Same with Hamas attacking Israel, it was of such a level it was clear there was going to be a massive response. I can only guess the hope from Hamas was to drag Hezbolla and others into the fight.

In the mean time Russia is looking on smiling as its taken attention away from Ukraine even more.

The USA and the west in general, being embroiled in a war in the ME is exactly what Iran and their friends want. Id say this is all being encouraged by Russia because like you say they love this.

But this is so related to, caused by, and will be determined by isreal in gaza.

It's being widely reported as "attacking the Houthi rebels", not the Houthi people.

The main reason they are "rebels" is that they aren't the legitimate government of Yemen (though who is, who knows ?), and they are attacking international shipping, in international waters.
not having a go at you, your posts are often very informative,
but since 2015 other arab states, mostly saudi, have been bombing the fuck out the area of yemen controlled by the houthi, resulting in 20,000 civilian deaths, half of which according to the u.n. were children.
these bombings were supported directly by the u.s. and the u.k.

this is nothing new.

Yep fully aware of that.

I find it rather ironic that Saudi wanted "peace" with them recently, and are now asking for "caution", despite them (along with UAE) having previously bombed the crap out of the country.

The difference being we hit military targets, whilst Saudi (and UAE) hit civilians.

One of the big factors in the civil war there, is the difference between the sunny (saudi etc), and the shia (iran) muslims.
