US/UK launch strikes against Houthi rebels in Yemen

Why doesn't that include aid flotillas?
2010 is going back a bit.
The Turkish boats were seized because tgey refused to be inspected - deaths occured because crew members decided to fight.
The aid was transfered to Gaza.
Construction materials were not.

Yep fully aware of that.

I find it rather ironic that Saudi wanted "peace" with them recently, and are now asking for "caution", despite them (along with UAE) having previously bombed the crap out of the country.

The difference being we hit military targets, whilst Saudi (and UAE) hit civilians.

One of the big factors in the civil war there, is the difference between the sunny (saudi etc), and the shia (iran) muslims.
i know, mate.

Saleh was a right **** of a president, that's why the people rose up against him in 2011, and as a direct result of his authoritarian strong-armed tactics and the ensuing civil war, yemen is now one of if not the poorest of all arab countries, people struggle for a meagre existence.

it just breaks my heart that this shit goes on for years without any major media coverage (how many u.k. citizens had even heard of the houthi before this?) until our government suddenly tells the bbc to report that we are the good guys and we are, as always, doing it for the right reasons.
the fact that 10,000 children already died in what used to be called northern yemen with the help of the u.k. and u.s. doesn't get a mention.

i refuse to take sides in any conflict.
they are all cunts who murder innocent children.

Of course they are. But this escalated situation didn't exist before isreal gaza. And they have said it is in direct response to gaza situation and the media are saying the same..... it's a widening of the issues between isreal and gaza. More sure what more to say tbh, it's of course related to isreal.
I’m not saying it’s not related to Israel but there’s no way that Houthi rebels are using their Iranian supplied weapons to attack Israel and ships in the Red Sea without Iran telling them to. Obviously Iran are giving them this instruction as a means of expanding their conflict on to another front, and there’s a very good chance that Putin has also got his fingerprints over all of it. The biggest beneficiaries of the conflict widening are Russia because it potentially weakens western support to Ukraine, and Iran because it disrupts relations between Israel and the gulf states especially Saudi.
