- Manchester City is my team - until I fucking die.
This is really bad - all the travel time will simply drain energy from competing sides. Still, the leagues/clubs will pursue revenue and if this is a money-maker, hosting games in the USA is inevitable. Up next - China. The USA is set to host a number of LA liga games over the coming seasons in a 15 year deal.
Was only a matter of time before this happened. Would seriously consider packing it in if/when this happens in the premier league.

Edit - I'm opposed to this on other grounds too. What about home stadium advantage and atmosphere? What about local fans?
As a for-example, consider Barca v. R. Madrid at the Camp Nou; or at the Santiago Bernabeu. Massive excitement and a hugely supportive crowd behind the home side. And all the history behind the matches.
Now consider Barca v. R. Madrid at, say, Yankee Stadium in the USA. No history; split crowds and just general football fans without allegiance to either side attend so probably no advantage to either side; little atmosphere - probably a bunch of noise from supporters for each side, but nothing like what's going to occur in a home stadium. And for television viewers - a big letdown. An El Clasico along these lines would be diminished into something akin to a club friendly except that it counts for the league.
