Huntington is a great little town. Just turn right when you hit the coast if you're driving from Vegas and it's a few miles up the road.

Also try Tijuana if you're going to San Diego. A wilder town i've yet to visit.

Anyone going to the West Coast and not going to Portland/Seattle and maybe even Vancouver are crazy. It's much more beautiful up there and the people are much nicer. It's quite a long drive from say San Fran to Portland but a flight would be about 80dollars I think

the trains are luxurious without the nightmare at the airports.San Fran,Portland Seattle very scenic route,nice change from driving/flying.
