Indeed, for those that haven't seen it he says this
Pep: We didn’t win in five - young players need to play in a good environment. You have to protect them. We have other options.
What he then went on to say was "but maybe I have no choice" or something like that. He wants to rotate, but if the senior rotation options are injured (Sagna/Zab), then youth may play even though he'd rather they didn't (Maffeo)

Not that bothered. Premier League and Champions league is the priority. We shouldn't allow our strategy for the season to be dictated to by local pride.

I'd have put the kids out and protected our squad for the more important matches to come, but seems we're going to play senior players.

I think it could be

..................WIlly
----Kompany----Otamendi---Clichy
----------------Fernando
--Navas----Silva----Gundogan---Nolito
----------------Kelechi

If don;t want to play Kompany 2 x in 4 days so soon into comeback, then Stones.
You're expecting a man sent off in the tunnel pre-match? :P

Maybe Maffeo then but that's it,we have lots of senior players who need the game time instead,we'll sooon find out,i hope he puts out a team who can win

Yes, I'm not sure it was as emphatic as Karen's quotes suggest, having just watched the press conference. He talks about not having won for 5 games, and says it's "not a good idea to put 3, 4, 5 young players in in that environment".

Think Garcia and Maffeo could still be involved tomorrow, albeit most likely from the bench.

The quote was the tweet on city twitter during his press conference

Seems clear from Guardiola's press conference that there will be rotation, but not many kids involved.

I reckon we'll line up something like this:

Caballero
Clichy
Stones
Otamendi
Kolarov
Fernando
Gundogan
Silva
Navas
Nolito
Iheanacho

Pure guess though. Guardiola's teams are pretty hard to predict!

You mean, the way they're going to play ;-)

He did also say he thinks the kids are good enough to perform anyway, and that he hasn't decided on the team yet - so it's not going to be easy for us to predict it.

He said some players are tired, so i think which senior players get used will depend on how well they train today/tomorrow.
