This from the cafe.....
'United these days remind me so much of Liverpool in the late 80's/early 90's.

I grew up a Liverpool fan and vividly remember as that decade drew to a close the feeling of seeing my team get pulled back towards the pack where once we had dominated. It was gut-wrenching. Especially as I live in Manchester.

Thank god I then found United and a new love was born. The last few seasons have reminded me of that feeling. I do not want to go through it again. I could never support city, they are a plastic club'

United will push for that, although there was contact but he could've stayed up. Unless it's a panel of 3 United fans they won't get agreement.

He can't get a ban because he didn't deceive the referee. For there to be a ban the referee has to give the penalty and believe there was a foul.

It's a novelty for me to agree with anything that Moaniniho says but I have to agree with him saying we are lucky.
Lucky we have such great owners who don't leech money from the club.
Lucky we have a great stadium and not a rat infested shit hole.
Lucky we have a manager who epitomises everything good about football.
Lucky we have a magnificent team who play wonderful football and have the faith in each others ability to pass the ball under pressure.
Lucky we have fantastic fans who mostly have been there when we were shite and are revelling in our amazing football.
And even luckier that we don't have a whining ungracious twat as a manager and a team of nasty bastards.
Yes indeed we are very lucky.

this one all day long

Does anyone have a link to the entire Sky coverage from yesterday? Was in the pub all day and couldn’t hear a Work but would love to hear what Noel’s has to say before, durng & after the game. Cheers

Reflections of yesterday.
1. Their forecourt is still full of posturing twats who behind lines of police and horses jump around making gestures when in all reality we know they will be running if anything serious did break out
2. Their ground really is a shit tip and how they have a safety certificate is beyond me
3. Their team really is Stoke / West Brom / Wimbledon in disguise. Right from the kick off Rojo thumped it 50 yards out of play. Now either he had a spot bet on the time of the first throw in or he was playing to instructions
4. We totally dominated them and should have finished them off a lot earlier but I think we were trying to conserve energy. Any rag who thinks Pogshite would have made a difference might want to ask themselves how? Even with Mendy, Stones and Vinny not playing in the second half the defense was rarely troubled
5. Their whole club from top to bottom is full of scum

In defence of JM I have to say that his belief in luck and how it plays out is consistent.

He gets his team to park the bus effectively surrendering possession because that is an area of competition he will lose convincingly. As such he keeps the score against as low as possible. He then relies on luck to eventually get the ball and hope his forwards can chase the ball then be lucky enough to beat our defence then actually be lucky enough to score from those limited opportunities.
Regarding defence he relies on a mixture of defensive skills to hopefully limit scoring opportunities and then relies on a good goalkeeper to stop shots that penetrate his system. All these rely on luck.
As demonstrated against Arsenal he also accepts that because he allows so many shots on goal he has to be lucky with those shots rather than use it as a strategic plan. Previously City have been guilty of having many shots but very few on target so last seasons draw demonstrated his reliance on that luck. He also thinks that he has a right to have ref decisions always go his United´s way.

Can anyone blame him even it it were true that he can quote one instance in the game that deprived him of a penalty as being the result of luck for City.
He shows his true colours in relying on luck being solely for him.

Regarding a manager who believes so much in luck rather than tactical superiority he should be thankful that his employers believed otherwise when he signed his contract with them.

Should I be surprised that everyone keeps talking about the penalty United should have had without mentioning the stonewall penalty on Otamendi?

That was the most tense and nervous I have ever felt during any game, let alone a derby. My heart was pounding and I had a tension headache by the end of it. I think it was because I just so desperately wanted to beat them, even more so than usual. I can't stand Mourinho, I think Ander Herrera and Jesse Lingard are odious little shits and after Pogba's comments my desire to beat them increased ten-fold. That was a sweet, sweet victory.

I'm surprised at the media reports this morning. All claiming it wasn't a pen, putting a negative slant on Jose's antics. Positive on everything we did

It's.. surprising
