Uwe to City?

Similar to the Martinez suggestion when Pellegrini was appointed manager. He wants to be a manager in his own right.

I could see him as a number two at City but going into youth football with the EDS may be a step down for him.

I would love to see him involved at City in some capacity.

If it was something what Lakey or Morrison then I don't see a problem. If it is in a coaching or a managerial role then it's a case of heart ruling the head.

He has 10 years of managerial experience, did a fantastic job at Brentford and a good job at Wigan as well (before it all went a bit sour). I would love him here in some capacity but I can't see him taking anything but the Manager's job as it would be a step backwards in his career.

Any coaching role at City would be a step up from unemployment.

Plus, he might be looking long term. Sometimes a step backwards to tread a different path,
reaps dividends.

It wouldn't be the first time a manager has stepped down to become an assistant. IIRC there was a former Ajax manager who went on to be the Chelsea assistant manager.

Yep, 1 step back to take 2 steps forward. I can see him in the EDS coaching role if Paddy is moving up or out (perhaps to get more experience at a lower league club or as assistant for the 1st team?)
