Vaccination Passport | Fans will be denied entry without valid NHS pass

I actually like wearing a mask during this weather and the cold - it keeps my nose warm...

There is so many cases of fully vaccinated people that get Covid this days - and if you e.g. look at the latest Bayern players that had Covid (okay, without vaccination) and came out of quarantine and cannot start training fully because of problems (Joshua Kimmich has some water in his lungs - he usually is somebody that can go 13 km during matches) you can see that even young people can have big problems - even if they might not die or land in the hospital.

Wearing a mask just reduces the risks - and actually does not hurt especially in that weather.
Professional athletes choosing not to be vaccinated are fucking thick.

We are all intelligent beings, and we can work out things on our own without the someone else having to hold our hand. Some of the Covid measures make total sense (like wearing masks in crowds as a new variant starts to rise), and some don’t (like not having to wear masks in classrooms as a new variant starts to rise)… but if you did feel it made more sense or was necessary to wear one while teaching in a classroom, you’d wear one, surely? You wouldn’t decline wearing one just because there isn’t a rule in place saying you have to, would you?
Absolutely; we’re now wearing masks in school corridors, communal areas; not in class as it’s impossible to teach wearing one. I’m triple jabbed so weighing up balance of illness I’m happy to be in and around the kids. I may have misunderstood the new regs; I thought we’d have to wear masks in outdoor venues of 10k plus. Which I’m happy to do but seems strange if they’re not mandating them for much closer indoor contact like the classroom.
on a wider note, I do think compliance will be much lower this time, working at home etc, I think folk will say, “We did that, we’re vaccinated; I’ll take my chances.” Just my hunch, based on nothing but bits and bobs I’ve heard from parents at school. School close to me sent all year 5 home today as TA tested positive for Omicron variant, as directed by PHE. We had 27 classes do ten day isolating last academic year and it’s been disastrous, so want to avoid that again. I fear it’s coining though...

I'v been triple jabbed since oct,my son caught it from school no doubt,it was rife with all his classmates.
he had to isolate for 10 days and me and my mrs too,our nhs trusts told us to stay away too for 10 days, their policy.
while off,I caught it from him, thats 2 and a half weeks ago now,and im still not too well.

Anybody else think we're not a million miles away from games being played in empty stadiums again? The players seem to be reluctant to get jabbed and Spurs and Leicester now find themselves with loads of cases. I think we're heading back to those shit days again

No one really knows, but players getting it won’t be a factor in the decision.

It‘ll be if case numbers start going through the roof.

Depends on how the NHS are coping and how many people are dying.

If we’re sensible enough, we all get vaccinated (if you haven’t yet, just do it), we all wear a mask in settings that require it (just bloody wear one, it’s proven they reduce the spread), we keep windows open in enclosed rooms with a lot of people (wear an extra jumper, the cold won’t be what kills you!), we test ourselves regularly and isolate when we should… maybe we won’t need to go any further than Plan B.

Instead of just waiting until it’s too late and then having to take restrictions even further or go into another lockdown; it’s all the little things before the rise, when done en mass, that help the most.

What evidence have you of players being reluctant? Let’s say each club has a minimum of 40 players, that’s circa 3600 players across all 4 professional leagues. What quantified data do you have to back up that claim of reluctance?

I meant it won’t be ‘spot checks’. You will need one or the other to get in whereas now you don’t
That's right but is it really feasible to check 50,000 people.
One thing the club can do is invite season ticket holders to send evidence to the club that they have been vaccinated. They can then enable you to have access without carrying out further checks. Any season ticket holders not vaccinated would have to produce evidence of a lateral flow test along with everyone else. They should use the technology to minimise checks.

Everyone would still have to be checked to firstly see if they are SC holders and secondly to then see if they are vaccinated or not.
