If it's true that his wife can't settle here then having opened up the possibility of a move back to Spain I can't see any point in calling it off at this late stage, we'd just end up with a player who didn't really want to be here. We should be looking to bring in a replacement though.

We had the same situation with other players and managed it albeit with some difficulties in the Tevez case ok.

Aguerro went through a divorce ffs.

She can visit the folks on weekends ffs,

WAGS , who needs them.

Not a peep from our resident Itk's. If we were thinking of letting Alf go, surely we'd be hearing a snippet of something? The silence is deafening.
Ajay, TH and another all said Falcao was on yesterday. They know nothing.

MCRJon essentially cautioned against getting too excited last night. we should have headed his advice. He is proven correct once again.

Not disputing the honesty of any ITKs on here but MCRJon is the one I watch out for. Hoping he's on soon with some news. :-)

Would like to keep Negredo as that would be good news considering

Won't call either TH or Ajay as they post info they receive in good faith and it makes this forum interesting

I can't believe we're still selling Negredo after losing out to Falcao. We have moved from a week where no striker was leaving and no one was coming in to a week of Falcao coming in and Negredo leaving to Negredo leaving and the team left with 3 strikers with 2 being the most injury prone strikers in Europe. This is just shit. Hopefully the guys at the top know what their doing. They came through last year so hopefully we'll keep on progressing.

Large balls up if Negrado goes the chemistry he and Aguero had on the pitch was great.

Don't get the same feeling when Aguero is in a pair with Dzeko or jovetic.

That was the case earlier but Negredo was a very poor player most of the time in the 2nd half of the season, & Dzeko was a very good player. That version of Negredo would be no use to us. If he wants to stay I'm sure he will. If he wants to go & we force him to stay, no telling what we will get.

With kun and jovetic injury record you can't defend this if it happens in any shape or form.

I've bit my tongue reading page after page of people saying "if this happens then I've lost faith in our management" or "this cannot be justified" but for the record, not everybody is 100% mortified and outraged if this goes through. It would be £20-23.8m, depending on which reports you read, for a player who turns 30 next season and wants to leave the club. He's also injured, and played the better part of five months (albeit recovering injury) without scoring a goal. Now I love the Beast, and would be thrilled if he stayed, but if he cash in on him I'm not afraid to say it's good business.

Everyone's fear is an injury to 2 of our 3 strikers at the same time (Jovetic & Aguero), but I feel like we're talking about reverting to a loan-striker up top scenario worst case scenario, and that seems bearable if not sensible regardless. If Iheancho gets a work permit, great... give him the chance that Sterling got at Anfield. If we don't get the paperwork processed then fine, promote Hiwula for the Cup games. Absolute worst case scenario we delve into the January market.

Not saying it's ideal, just tired of people saying I'm an idiot if I don't think we're tanking the season, throwing away the league, or being run by muppets if we go ahead with this sale. I think we're going to be fine either way.

Exactly, Aguero here without his son and Pelli is over here on his own.

If he goes with no replacement it would be an odd move but its far from the end of the world. even if 2 out of 3 got injured we still have a devastating attacking midfield we can run with and would leave us with 55m to spend in Janurary or to help us break even this year.

Which great striker can you buy in January? If we do it will be inflated as crazy.

To be fair some well respected journo's said exactly the same so it prob was at some point!
No one could have thought that a club would be stupid enough to pay Monte Carlo wages of £346k per week to a player with a dodgy knee.

Huge risk. Don't suppose Utd fans care if it's the Glazer's money
